The world needs more Mike Muir's in it.
"My father taught me how to be a man." Nuff said right there.
Lol!
“Never thought I’d be here...because of traffic.”
A legend forever, Mike is. 🤘🏻😂🤘🏻
47 years old this was the music of my time and it still is now I play it for my son he's 16 and no he doesn't get it but one day he will
I'm your age. My Son is 23 and he don't understand why I love this band so much but then, I don't get why he listens to stuff like Meshuggah lol.
punk has a special place in my heart i wish it would go back to how it was but it probably won’t only with a small group then we spread it show everyone how it used to be if you don’t like it go fuck yourself this is how we live
53 here- gotta 16 yr ol son skatin hard and he doesn;t even listen to music?1- all cool, but these guys and The Stupids were my skating soundtrack!!
Get some Black Flag in there!😁
I've been a fan for 30 years, Suicidal 🤘
28 year fan here
I also love infectious grooves
Yes! With Robert Trujillo on bass!
I've followed S.T., since I was 12 yrs old.
I've even seen them at Perkins Palace, back when I used to live in Pasadena, CA, of course I was with my older cousins, who turned me on to them.
In 1990, Cyko Miko and the boys (R.J. Herrera, Rocky George, Mike Clark, and Robert Trujillo), left a serious indenture on Hollywood at Music +, and I was in the live video of " War Inside My Head ",& I got to see them alongside Pantera and Exodus at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre .
Now fast forward to 2019, I got to see the band again, and this time, Mike Muir, is not only an icon, but a musical mastermind, when he snagged Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer and Grip inc.), here on Maui.
Best show on Maui and I had a great Hallelujah Hollaback Hollaback good time.
After the concert, I hung out with Dean Pleasants and Dave; very nice guys after all, but I got some very good sound advice from Mike himself:
"People will always try and put you down and let alone bring you down.
Being suicidal is not about killing yourself, it's about you falling down, and you just pick yourself up off the fucking ground and keep going on with your goals in life. "
I'm glad that Suicidal Tendencies came into my life at an early age; caught a few of their concerts,,but catching them here on Maui....
PRICELESS!!!!!
And in conclusion, I gave Mike my word, as an Angeleno, I would get him another S.T. artpiece, along with an Infectious Grooves piece as well.
The only way that can happen is that the CO-VID19 goes away, and I shall have those artpieces in due time.
But need a bigger fucking venue, than the last one they played at, here on Maui.
I'm glad that I got to hang out with him and the band, and I'm very glad to call Mike Muir a friend.
In the meantime...
Peace and Aloha from the 808 side of Maui HI ✌✌✌✌✌🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Suicidal tendencies wrote some of the most important music I've ever heard in my life. They are absolutely 100% authentic and unique, and positive in every single sense of the word. Truly we need more love in this world
All he really want is a Pepsi, just one Pepsi! Give it to him!!

ST was my first rock show when i was 16, i'm 41 now and still a big fan !
Suicidal for life !
Thats Awesome they were your 1st Show🤟I'm 50 just say them last year!!! They Still RIP
Mike Muir; what a legend! I started listening to ST around 1990 when I was a skating and still do to this day. Only yesterday I played LCR. The music is as good or better these days and way better than contemporary bands. The lyrics were probably unnoticed by me back in the day, but really hit a chord with me the older I get. Truly one of the best rock bands ever. So much passion and emotion in their music. I’ve seen them live twice and will never forget it.
Thats bad ass! When I was growing up (From 10-15) I hung on every word Mike spoke. I had a rough fuckin life but Suicidal helped me realize that I dint have a monopoly on the way I felt. Got me through the hardest shit that some folks can go through as I got older. Chin up, push through and stomp fuckin' ass as you do it! Some of the best music ever made for sure! _ $ _
When i was 14 i ordered some gear from an article from a Thrasher magazine. They didnt have one of the shirts available so i got a refund check signed by Mike Muirs mom. That was so fucking awesome i showed it to everyone for like a year. S.T. for life!
fuck thats so sick
Fuck yeah, I would much rather have that than the shirt!
James- thanks for the intro even tho it is obvious public speaking makes you anxious. And mike- thanks for the memories and the music. It takes a real man to show emotion. You both shone brightly.
Damn i had to cry too. I'm 46. Still remember the dude who gave me a Suicidal Tendencies tape when i was 15. Form there on my life changed.
I got the same Pendleton flannel 🤘🏽

Talking about mental health decades before it was on trend. ST were an important band in my teenage years, Mike always talked truth.
As an aside, I'm 46 and I've been skating since the late eighties. Six months ago I was bombing a hill and took a dive, broke six ribs and my arm in two places, but like Mike said, you get up and you get back on. Even if you do spend 6 hours the next day in A&E, after not getting much sleep lol. And then four weeks of walking the 4 mile round trip for school run twice a day as I couldn't get on a packed bus for a while. Pain is an indicator that there's a problem, just like the engine management light on a car, and once you realise that and walk through the fire once, you know you can in the future. You learn to survive. You exceed your expectations of what's possible. Skating teaches you to ignore the boundaries, to become unbreakable.
Skating taught me that pain isn't something to be feared, but something to be accepting of, something to weather, something that affects the body but doesn't have to affect the mind or soul. I laugh loudly and often, and I enjoy the freedom when I'm able to ride. When you're flying down a hill you have to let everything go and surrender to instinct and muscle memory, but in that moment you become aware of everything as a tide of input you normally ignore is all available to your senses. Skating is the essence of life and living.
It's all about resilience and persistence, but to those of us who skate, there's no feeling like it. I've been skating with a walking stick for a few years now, when it comes , I'll bomb hills in a wheelchair. Genetic legacy eventually caught up with me, but it won't make me bitter because I can still bomb hills and get my fix. Possessed to skate, man. I'll do it in one form or another until I die.
Man...to be part of that Dogtown scene. I didn't start skating until '87 and I lived in the outskirts of Seattle, but was aware of that scene early on and the importance of it.
