I appreciate how positive you stayed throughout the evening. However, imagine a family of four coming to Jollywood Nights, plus parking, (and hotel) and having to wait in all the lines. It does t seem like a family event despite it being promoted as a family thing. I think the VALUE is missing from this after hours event. I agree that an added hour would help, and I saw that some of the characters were not protected from the rain so once the rain began, meet and greets were over, even with lines of people still waiting. The food should’ve been larger in size ( the shrimp cocktail at the Brown Derby was $16 for 3 shrimp) and snacks should’ve been free ($6 Gertie cookie?). Again, you two are the sweetest for giving off such positive energy. But some people save up for years to come out and experience this type of event and I think this one is a total let down for the price. It didn’t feel special enough for an after hours paid event.✌️
We appreciate your honest review! The night before, we did the very merry Christmas party and it didn’t feel nearly as fun as it had in the last years due to the camera equipment for the Christmas special taking up so much walking and viewing space, it felt so much more crowded. So that could have played a part in us having a better time at Jollywood too! I also agree that it seems geared more towards adults than families. A big bonus though is that so many of the rides were walk ons BUT we didn’t go to the event to ride the rides, we went for everything else. Maybe we got lucky and were always in the right place at the right time too. We didn’t even know about the Gertie cookie! 😩 and never got a chance to experience the Brown Derby despite multiple attempts.
