Hey guys it's Kiki, and today I'm going to be showing you guys 12 hacks to pay attention in a boring or distracting class. This video was requested by, thank you, if you guys have any requests or suggestions please comment down below. So without further ado let's get on with the video.
The 1st hack is to sit near the front of the class. If you are allowed to sit anywhere in class or lectures, grabbing a seat near the front, close to the teacher will definitely help keep you focused.
The 2nd hack is to sit away from your friends or any distractions. Obviously, your friends are one of the biggest distractions so sitting away from them is probably one of the most effective way.
The 3rd hack is to participate in class. Participating in class will keep you engaged and focused on the lesson and will help you understand the concept better.
The 4th hack is to talk to your teacher afterwards. Asking questions about any conepts you don't understand will help you stay focused in later classes.
The 5th hack is to prepare before classes. If the reason why you cannot concentrate is that you don't understand the class very well, preparing before classes will be extremely beneficial.
The 6th hack is to take fun notes. Taking aesthetically pleasing notes is super effective in helping you stay focused in class because you need to pay attention to summarize all the information.
The 7th hack is to focus on the present. This means to try to avoid thinking about the past or future, for example what you are going to do after school or what you did last night.
The 8th hack is to motivate yourself and create goals and rewards. For example you can set goals like focus intently on the class and then give yourself a reward like a bar of chocolate.
The 9th hack is to get enough sleep. Ok, so I know this is really obvious BUT this is super super important if you want to focus in class so always try and get at least 8 hours sleep.
The 10th hack is to eat a snack beforehand. A hungry stomach is extremely distracting so munching on some fruit beforehand can be super beneficial.
The 11th hack is to exercise beforehand. Exercising before the class or in the mornings will help you stay focused on the class.
The 12th hack is to have the right mindset. Being positive about the class will help you keep on task and feel more focused.

I find that if you have trouble asking teacher questions a good way is to ask a classmate to ask for you or you could even email them which is a lot less confronting 😊
If you are scared to your teacher to ask in class meet her after the class/In staff room or /dought room

Really?? I’ve actually had a teacher like that before. I think the best thing to do is asking your peers and classmates and if they can’t answer your question, asking a different teacher.👍

hi everyone ,if anyone else is searching for how to focus at work tips try Loctavan Fast Focusing Strategy(just google it ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Sit in front.
Sit away from friends.
Participate in class, ask questions.
Ask questions to teacher.
Prepare for the topic before the class(main tip)
Take notes.
Stay in present. (Meditate)
Create goals and reward it..
Get enough sleep.
Eat a snack (healthy)
Exercise in morning.
Be positive that I am the best listener in class.
I'm really shy, and i have to at least know the teacher for a month before i start asking her/him questions. Some times i don't even ask very many questions throughout the year, but this year i'm trying to get good grades, so i'll try my best! Thanks for the tips!

@@rosaliedior2425 There's nothing wrong with you hun, it takes time. I understand how you feel and it's alright you'll get through it. Being shy and quite is such an advantage. I still don't talk to teachers, my science teacher yelled at me and i left the class pretending i had music.
I watch this vid at the start of each week to remind myself how I should act in class. It helps me a lot even though I live in the UK and teachers normally decide where you sit for the whole year so you might end up next to your friends. I am lucky this vid is here because if you do everything basically like this vid says in class like participating and getting good grades or doing homework at high standards etc. In my school, we get rewarded badges for that subject, at the moment I have 7 badges from different classes. I am hoping to get the whole lot x

in my maths class (the class i struggle most with) i ask the teacher a question and embarrasses me like ‘ThiS sTufF iS bAsiC yoU shOuld kNow iT’ and when i don’t ask a question when im struggling he goes ‘WhY diDn’t yOu asK beFore’
I have adhd and a low attention span. It's hard for me to focus and my teacher knows it. But these hacks def help me during class.

This actually shows a lot from my 5th grade, I am going to sixth grade and this time I will get all A’s and help my parents and make me proud
1. I would sit in the back
2. I sat near 2 distractions, they would call my name, throw paper, laugh...
3. I don’t think I would really participate in class because it meant more work and I was so lazy!
4. When I ask questions they don’t seem to help me because as don’t concentrate enough 😭

1) doesn't work for me because theres a "seating plan" and i've asked my teachers to let me sit at the front before and they just get mad..
2) i'm hardly in any classes with my friends..mostly bullies & people who cause disruption to the class..
3) i've tried participating in class..however if i get the answer wrong for whatever reason, the bullies laugh & judge me & the teachers do nothing..
4) i have stayed behind in class to talk to my teacher about this stuff & the work or homework or whatever but again, it doesn't help and sometimes my teachers will say they're busy..and to just email them, and when i do, they never respond.
5) i do prepare, but when i do, the teacher changes the things we'd be doing in the lesson- or we'd have a "cover teacher" who just tells us to do whatever we want as he/she doesn't know what they're doing
6) if i takes notes, my teachers will shout out me for "not paying attention" and to put my pen down..not to mention the teachers talk to fast & its annoying so when the teacher ALLOWS you to wrote notes, they move on to something else pretty quickly.
7) i guess that kinda helps lol
8) that helps me in some subjects but not all
9) no matter how much sleep i get, i still feel tired & distressed
10) i do that lol
11) i would exercise but the issue is, is that i can't cause of covid, so theres nowhere to really go & exercise
12) i try and keep a positive mindset but again, theres bullying and a lot of things going on at home but i do try.. :/

The hack about taking notes that are fun to look at is a great one. For better or worse, I am a college lecturer ;-) and this is something I try hard to drive home to my students. There is a lot of compelling evidence that notes that are visually interesting promote deeper understanding. All of the ideas are helpful. TFS

Yeah, focusing on the present is my biggest obstacle. Like, I be just listening and then suddenly it's already been 4 minutes that I was daydreaming.
Kiki: stay away from any distractions
my adhd: ha, funny joke, I don't let her do that
on a more serious note, I do or try (and fail) to do every single one of these.
1. I have an assigned seat in the front row (we were able to chose where to sit at the start of the school year)
2. haha, don't know how to do that
3. I do participate every day
4. I've done that, and my friend tries to help me in that class
5. I try to do that too, most likely fail
6. we have interactive books, so all our notes are highlighted in there
7. well about that- another thing my brain doesn't let me do
8. I try, doesn't work out
9. haha, ✨adhd✨
10. lunch is right before this class. I have an apple or an orange every day, along with a sandwitch
11. That is not a choice I have
12. Welp- failed that one. It's my last period subject- in that class, if I don't like the subject at hand, I simply can't do it.
Sorry if this sounds mean, I don't mean to be. It just doesn't work out at all for me, considering I always try to pay attention, but it never works out. It's kinda annoying to me that some people can just concentrate, and then here I am being a mess of a human being, who tries her best and still fails.
Not to mention, I might get benched in basketball, which is one of my only coping mechanisms for personal issues
