Cheap/Convenient Anchor for Hub-Style Ice Fishing Shelters

I got sick of my hub style shelter blowing across the lake, and I refuse to use
the little spikes that came with it. The solution is convenient and cheap and works really well. Many of you may just prefer the "ice spikes" that come with your shelter, and that's A-OK. I just never liked them...while these pipes are rather large, I made them that way because I have plenty of sled space and they aren't heavy. You may choose to modify this design.

So what happens when the hole freezes? More work trying to get that thing out. No thanks. I’ll stick with the ice anchors.

Sounds like a plan :) I don’t stay out all day typically so never an issue. And even so, a quick smash with a boot would loosen it up
