2.2 UPDATE: Due to the new Super Break Effect mechanic, the Talia Kingdom of Banditry planar set's value becomes much higher for him. Didn't really recommend it previously due to Break Effect conversion having a cap on him anyway and other sets having more favorable team-wide benefits. But now, Talia is a strong contender if you want maximize his Super Break damage.

@@adrianrandom3448 He is indeed. He shocked me with the survivability of my team, he helps me to go through story where there topaz at belobog when none of the healer does. He's unbuilt for now but I can imagine how good he is if built nicely. Everything felt more easier now as new player.

Priorities
Great guide as always Sevy! Just want to add something you didn't point out is that Besotted debuff is based on enemy turn so if the enemy you're fighting is extremely fast (like in SU) the debuff expires fast as well since it's not based on Gallagher's turn.
IMO this can be remedied by running high SPD (161) and Multiplication so that he can catch up if ever the enemies are extremely fast.

Gallagher is SO GOOD for Xueyi. Can easily get three stacks of karma in a row for her. Running Xueyi with Galagher, Silver Wolf, and Sparkle is so much fun!
Was happily surprised at how much I actually enjoyed his gameplay and kit mechanics. I already have luocha and fu xuan but I built him up anyways cuz I lost my 50/50 to welt and wanted a new character to play with and I'm really loving him with Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio and Sparkle. Super fun to play

e4 Gallagher solo sustained my acheron team through MoC 12 Sam. a few close calls but the besotted state having basically full uptime with chars that spam attacks just meant they were never below half health during Sam's frequent ass turns with his 200spd lol

Recently got back in to Star Rail for 2.1 (haven't touched since I finished the Luofu), pulled Gal trying to get Luocha (only had Natasha since starting), and I'm gonna put him on my Kafka/Gui team. Thanks a lot ^^
Thanks for this guide Sevy. Gallagher and Acheron are both great examples of how character designs are becoming much more unique and sometimes complicated with different potential and interactions. The game is becoming more dynamic in character design.

And now I actually understand how his kit works! Thank god I now have a good fire unit that can break enemies. Great video!
Love ghally so far! Your guides area always fun and helpful! I would order an old fashioned (or even better, a sazerac) and ask him to smoke it! Smoked cocktails are delicious, and he would mix a really good drink based on his voice lines! (I particularly liked his statement about chocolate or sweeteners being used to mask a lack of flavors in drinks) I’m using ghallagher in my Acheron team right now, he is performing well!

Hi Sevvy! I LOVE his design and kit... Period...
Im running Nihility Harmony focus team... With a emphasis on breaking playstyle.... Harmony buffs, Nihility debuffs and working together to break enemy... I used some destro or hunt or eru unit but almost banned myself using Preservation and Abundance unit.... I reached AR67 all gold and gear and swarm without Abundance unit (granted this game is not that hard)
And Gallagher is the perfect first Abundance character... An Abundance character that focus of break effect and debuffing enemy???? Perfection!!!!!!!!! He is basically a Nihility character that can heal... Hallelujah!!

He certainly feels like a great healer unit to pair with Acheron for sure!
I've almost exclusively used Bailu as my healer since she was my first 5 star I got (from the launch warp bonus thing they did), but this is making me consider building him up... if I get Acheron. I don't think I will get her, because I haven't had many pulls since Black Swan due to hiatus, but his playstyle is very interesting and seems like it'll be a good fit for sure!
I was so happy that I could select Gallagher from the Event but I had too much work this week I couldn't read and try to build him. Your video saved me sooooo much time and you saved my gaming fun for the weekend T.T

New Subscriber. Guess I found my second healer (Casual player) I got Natasha but not decently build, and I absolutely love Lynx my primary healer. She's rocking 7K HP, she's pretty awesome. Now, i have to build this guy, and lvl 1 but rocking a whopping 100% Break Effect.

I tried out AFK Journey, and it is great as a side game to HSR... easy to get the heroes you want, fun for f2p! Oh and I got really lucky getting my copy of acheron by winning my 50/50 i only spend on BP and monthly so I am fine with just 1 copy of her even without her LC. might pull on her LC banner just for fun now.

Is my first time seeing you and i really love your video 😍😍 everyone talking Acheron this Acheron that i'm so sick of that and i really glad you make a video of my man 💞💞 and yes i'm one of the crazy people who is going to make a Dps Gallager hahaha thanks for the ideas for relics and ornaments and i need more farm to make it better. Now i have 60/80 Gallager and i need more spd and atk.
I also saw Fine Fruit recommended for him as a 3* option, as he gets to start with more energy, i.e. get his Ult up faster with a bonus of giving energy to others too
Gallagher has Gambit energy and I am all for it!
My pulls may have not gone how i expected i was 1 10 pull off a 5 star but i was hoping for loucha to help beat the bug boss and ended up with a Gallagher and bailu who ended up helping me beat the boss so win win excited to build my Gallagher while I wait for aventurine :)

Sevy, you have been growing so much in your content. You have shown the world you can sing, created a platform to voice your opinions, and are now using even comedy (Similar to Brax and Jayhoon) hope you keep growing.
I got E5 Gallagher within 90 pulls 😂 I was already planning to make him the designated healer for Acheron team so I was quite happy about this.
The only thing I would question is using outgoing healing body. His passive places your outgoing bonus at a massive 75% which is already higher then the body would provide to other healers and reaches a point where his heals almost always full heal on each use. Even the besotted heal hits my characters for like 1500 without the talent being maxed. Which is half of most characters full go bar. Using atk for the support build seems better imo as it at least lets him contribute to kills.

what about the 2 pc break effect planar ornament set? since you'd need a lot of speed on gallagher anyway, it would trigger the set bonus for that relic too!
