I know this video was made 5 years ago, but this is the best video I've seen. Very informative. I've been looking at this camera for a couple of weeks, and I will be getting one really soon. You don't speak fast or low, but people also need to realize that this is a video. They can turn their volume up if needed, and they can pause the video to catch certain parts. It sounds like some of the viewers never owned a camera before. This is no comparison, but I'm coming from a Canon G9 and still caught on to everything you were saying. With all that said, I've subscribed, gave a thumbs up, and downloaded this to my play list. Thank you so much for this video!

I purchased one earlier this year as an upgrade from my entry level Nikon Coolpix L820 so that I could do more with still pictures, vlogs, and videos due to the fold out LCD screen, better focus lens, and hot shoe connection. You have shared more of an in depth tutorial then I would have ever had thumbing through the instruction manual or looking at dozens of other vids. Your video here is practically master class material!
Bought one used for 200 dollars, really huge step up from my old D3100, everything is prefect except for the fact that someone had sneezed on the image sensor XD.

You started off really great. But the further you went the less you showed what actual buttons you were pressing to get to certain modes. Guess I`ll work it out.
I picked the D5600 up today - really excited to use it, thanks for the great info. However I noticed that my UI on some of the menus on the screen looks different and has more options in some cases. Did they update the software at some point?
I think it depends on how you are accessing the menus. Its the same UI. If you look at the upper right hand corner of his camera you can see what mode he is in. You can see M, A, S, P and you can access this by the round dial that is on the top right of the camera. Then when you press the "i" Info button right there above the "ok" button you should be accessing the same menus. Hope this helps!

Love the camera. Can you do an in depth guide on the video settings and best settings for video recording? Aperture seems to be locked and it will only let me change shutter and iso. I’m a total noob lol
My screen doesn't rotate for vloging. I can't even work with the screen locked on the body because the screen goes black. I know it's broken something that goes like "screen flex" but if you know about it, I'd appriciate your help. The camera it's what it is. Professionals use it. It says everything.
How do you keep the shutter speed still to a value? After I shoot, it changes and re-setting to the one I want. I waste so much time every time. Thanks
Why not just recommend a large SD card so you don't have to worry about every running out of space. I have a 512 MB and can store 9.3k photos to the card.
Nikon D5600 with 18mm-105mm lens OR Canon 250D with 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens??? I want to buy a camera, I'm a beginner , and I have these 2 options at the same price (great discount for nikon but the lens I'm not sure if it's good and it's much older).
Snapbridge can be clanky instead if you have a pc or laptop transfer the images there and then plug tour phone into the pc with a usb and drag the photos over if you dont have a laptop or pc snapbridge will be fine just a little more clanky

I’m a total beginner but I bet if you used an exif data viewer online and checked your picture, it would list what model camera you have in the data about the photo.
I was using the the touch screen on the back to change settings, now the settings are not showing up on the screen and the image is not showing on the screen without pushing the arrow on the back of the camera. What setting have i changed? Thanks...khfish
Do you have to talk so fast. I continually had to backtrack so I could follow you. We are trying ti set-up our cameras and find the screens you are telling us are so IMPORTANT.
This video content only explains u what it is, what is that, and this can do, blah blah blah... I was expecting u to go out and show us what settings are u setted to.
Continuously moving the selections while talking is very annoying ang confusing as well. If your purpose for moving is to keep the screen on, then just move one and then back to what you are explaining.

For "child" it's for taking pictures of moving kids because they can't sit still, basically shutter speed is high

shoot on manual. with the M icon. you are probably shooting on p/ or tv setting.
