He made a mistake, big deal. All the other plays are scores made on the opening kickoff. Wait, the play after the opening kickoff? Both? Plus in overtime. WHAT IS THIS VIDEO SUPPOSED TO BE?!?
@@dresdnhope uhhh NO, there's at least 2 of them and I wouldn't consider the first play of OT as the first play of the game either, so that makes several plays being like this.
Nice vid. (at 8:15 - the "first play of the game" is a punt??? At 1:47 in the 1st half? Just how crazy that kickoff-return must have been - eating up over 13 minutes and getting the ball out to his own 5-yard line :D)
As an eagles fan, I'm popping in before even watching the video knowing full well I'm gonna see Vick's bomb to Jackson vs Washington and I'm pumped any time I get to see that play
People have already mentioned the outliers (start of OT, the punt at the end of Q1), but what about kickoffs? Are kickoffs the first play of the game or is the first play from scrimmage the first play of the game? Can't have em both.
If you have the speed as a kick returner, it makes sense to run straight center behind blockers at first, then jet out to the sides as the defenders are more bunched up in the middle. I am almost 60 and finally got this, haha. Enjoyed this, cheers.
Took some liberties with the phrase "First Play of the Game" in this one. Saw multiple that were the first play of OT, one was after a minute of OT, one was end of first quarter, and another was well into the 2nd qtr. Also, how could you not include the Bears taking the opening kickoff to the house in the SB against the Colts??
Yeah it's a weird caption to have. There are plenty of scores from the actual first play of the game so I don't know why he includes plays from overtime or the end of the first or second quarter
You just had to include the first game of the Matt Patricia era in Detroit, didn’t you? Yeah, we got the Pick-6, but we also lost that game against the Jets 48-17.
Idk why Big Ben didn’t just take the safety on that play!! But then u don’t get the ball back. So idk what the Steelers were thinking that start of that wild card game against browns. Go Steelers!!
"First play of the game!" So... what is so many OT plays and a 4th and 9 with less than 2 minutes doing in here? Couldn't fill 10 minutes with almost 60 years of NFL plays?
Darnold was good for the rest of the game. The Jets won 48-17. If anyone had a bad debut in that game it was Matt Patricia. Heck Darnold arguably outplayed Stafford. He threw 4 picks in that game, while the first play was Darnold’s only pick of the game.

Almost overthrew it too lmao
Had to double check because he can throw further. Thrown from the four caught on the 34. And a beautiful spiral to boot.

8:15 So a punt at the end of the 1st quarter is the first play of the game? ESPN needs to do a c'mon man for highlight channels.
When quotation marks are involved it means what the writer said (meant) not what you want it to mean…kind of like the “truth.”

That moment where a play in the second quarter is the first play of the game...
2:00 or overtime.
8:23 the first quarter's almost over. Must have been a long play
Dude must've been desperate for filler. Nearly half of these weren't the "1st" offensive play of the game.
The start of OT is not the first play of the game
Idk why he did that
Just watch the vid
Nor is the middle of the 1st or 2nd quarter.... I'm confused lol
it’s probably because he couldn’t find enough clips to make the video 10 minutes long. gotta get that extra ad revenue lol
Might as well say it’s 0-0 again
Ray Rice ran like he was evading the cops...
Many of these scores on the first play of the game consist of potential costly rookie mistakes!
Such a shame the decisions Ray Rice made. He had so much talent and the potential for a great legacy.
meh.
What did he do pls tell me

Nyheim Hines’ 101-yard kickoff return
What about Hester’s opening kick to in Super Bowl?
We all knew the Bills v Pats game 1st play for a TD was gonna appear in here 😀
Look up John Holmberg's impression of the first announcer woman if you can find it 😅
Why is no one talking about how smart manning was buy not letting the defense get the touchdown but instead taking the safety smart.
Running back Knowshon Moreno took the safety. Manning never touched the ball on that play.
-The opening kickoff is not the first play of the game.
-The first play of OT is not the first play of the game.
