People with limited mobility can not remove battery without other persons help. They just can not fold the body that much and position themself on their knees. Also the same is with most other operation you presented in this video. Folding /unfolding also extremely difficult!
Many people do have lifters in their mini vans, but the problem for many wheelchair users is that they also have bad backs and can't be doing any bending, hard pushing, twisting, etc. Most of these power chairs require plenty of bending and strength before you even get to the area of the car lifter. Also lithium batteries are definitely the best, but if you can't easily remove them to charge up in a warm house in winter, you would have to leave the whole thing in the icy cold garage in winter, which would kill the batteries quickly. I wish more controls could put on chairs that would require very little bending. Don't care how heavy the chair is once it gets to the lifter but would like to see 90 pound women with damaged backs load and unload these things instead of always healthy men with strong backs showing how to do it. Also, in winter the chairs have to be quick to load and unload due to freezing weather. Additional chair widths would also be good. Like big tires as well. But what happens if the controls fail and you are on a ramp? Unlike scooters there are no hand brakes for that.
This really is a great help. I’ve just ordered this model here in the UK. It’s marketed as the “Pride iGo Plus” but still says “Jazzy” on the back rest. My only criticism is that the arm rests are too long and the joystick is therefore too far away. Love Pride products and have had excellent experiences with them in the past. My last Pride chair was purchased in 2005 and lasted 10 years until my needs changed. The chair was faultless.
How do you charge the chair? Do you have to turn off the power on the controller or leave the power on? The manual says to turn it off but if I do, I do not see any led lights on the controller indicates that it’s charging.
Hi Marc, How does this chair do in the yard, grass, bumps and all? Love that it folds allowing portability for shopping, doctor, out to eat and such. Really needs to do well in the yard too. Wish health ins covered kinda hard for a lot of people to come up with that sum of money and to even make payments unless they're really low. All that said this is a nice chair...
darlene roach I would not recommend this for in the yard. This is a better option that is still easily portable. marcsmobility.com/used-scooters/pride-revo-2-0-mobility-scooter-3-wheel-new-1.html
Hi Marc, should have included I need something portable with near 0 turn to access rooms inside the home as well as the ability to go outside, some areas are a bit rough in the yard. Thank you for needed info...
Hi Darlene, I think the Passport would depend on the weight of the user and the type of surface you are going on. A scooter would handle better but a power chair turns better. Something like this would be the best option. We are running these on Promo $1899, its a portable power chair but still with larger tires. marcsmobility.com/new-power-wheel-chairs/new-power-wheelchairs/new-power-wheelchairs-new-pride-mobility-wheelchairs-jazzy/jazzy-elite-es-portable-power-wheelchair-new.html

Its programmed at a certain speed. It may be able to be programmed to go faster but the motors are only able to go so fast.
