This reminds me of a saying I once heard. It was something along the lines of if someone wants you dead, you better hope it's an evil man. An evil man can be persuaded. A good man will kill you because he believes it's the right thing to do. Just because Pippi is kind doesn't mean she's not dangerous. After all, isn't the Vani's entire mission a mercy? A kindness? The right thing to do, for all our sakes?
