The KANSAS legacy continues......Great job guys! You all sound Great! Glad to see the band and music moving into the future for younger fans to enjoy. You guys ROCK!
Phil has impeccable time. He stretched out his playing for live. On the record he had these gargantuan, deep, gated drums that would be impossible to replicate live and played more sparsely. I like how he changed things up for this performance. One of the all time greats for sure!!!!
after all these years you guys rock!!! U guys are the best!!! I hope I can die a happy man after I see you live, i live in FL come to Tampa Bay please guys!!!
i remember in the 80,s i listened a radio station eeuu air base Torrejon in spain a rock program and sounds this song mixed with M.S.G. desert song....was amazing...i willnever forget.
Dude you have to listen to the album Leftoverture and that will change your mind especially the songs The Wall, and Carry On My Wayward Son. This is a great song but a lot better ones out there.
This is hands down my favorite KANSAS tune post Steve Walsh. This song was penned by John Elefante and his brother Dino. I live roughly 5 minutes from where the Elefante brothers grew up in Lakewood, California. Super talented and great Christian men.
OMG. These guys are SO back in business again, sounding as great as ever! IMO. (And that's absolutely NOTHING against the previous incarnations. The "Livgren" and "Elefante" incarnations were ESPECIALLY great!) BTW, their new album, The Prelude Implicit, is, IMO, really, really excellent, too. Plus their recent DVD history of the band is worth searching out, as well. Thank you for keeping that Fire lit, Kansas!!!
0:22 What would have been really cool? Is instead of having that man come out with the Horse mask... Have a group of traditional "Native American dancers" come out wearing costumes resembling the ones depicted on the cover of there (1979 album Monolith). But something like that would probably cost a lot more money to put together.
This hearkens back to the goofy stuff they used to do in the 70's. During Magnum Opus they had a roadie that would come out on stage dressed as a nun, then someone would disrobe him and he was a naked guy running around on stage(Under strobe lights so as to not see so much)
Having seen the ORIGINALS in their prime....in the 70's, 80's- 5 times, and once post greatness, in Seattle ON their tour bus....I can tell you- this is but a SHELL of the original band/SOUND.
Hey, he’s clearly having fun while performing, I don’t see the harm in that really. It’s better than standing around like a boring piece of wood like you’re in High School chorus being forced to sing sappy songs for a decent grade.
Steve Walsh's voice was shot 15 years ago. He didn't want to write music for a new album, they couldn't play more than 90 minutes, because he couldn't sing any longer than that in one show, and half of their catalog was unavailable because he could no longer sing them. Finally, he didn't want to do it anymore. So they did what every band does when someone retires or dies...find a replacement. and a damn good one.
this is the great RICH WILLIAMS and he is a genius musician, and you are just a blip on the radar,he's carrying the whole band string wise, show some respect,i didn't want the music to stop and I'm damn glad they still perform
You know what? As a kid in the 70's, I loved the band Kansas. I still do. Today, they may be a bunch of old grandpops, but they can still jam it!
4 of the 6 members are not there. That is not Kansas any longer.
Still rippin! Love this song and he’s still got it! Sounds amazing!
Damn they still sound good! They were huge when I was in junior high and high school.
I was looking for "Fight fire with fire" to learn about how Lars plays fast beats and that's what I ve found

Ronnie has an excellent voice!!! Damn!!! Everyone rocked this song!!!
I don't think Ronnie gets enough credit for his effort in filling Steve Walsh's big shoes.
@@misterninetyseven2898 & John Elefante shoes :-)
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
Wow. Excellent version. Can't wait for them to tour again in the USA. I'm ready!
after all these years you guys rock!!! U guys are the best!!! I hope I can die a happy man after I see you live, i live in FL come to Tampa Bay please guys!!!
Kansas is so great!

What a great song! ❤❤❤
Ah LIFE, it's all worth living!
Always nice to hear this song performed live. Didn't know they've changed singer again though
Fight Fire With Fire Is My Favorite Song By Kansas And It Is A Great Song And Fantastic Wonderful Masterpiece By Kansas.

Thank you for keeping that Fire lit, Kansas!!!
AWESOME!
All 3 of ( vocals,pretty DECENT, Saw them LIVE,STYX,D.C.75
BEST SONG THEY EVER MADE!!!
Kanas can not be replaced. Can't duplicate them, they are the extreme!!!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Damn good
Ronnie sounds more like Elafante than Walsh, sounds great!
Ronnie is more of a pure tenor like Elefante for sure. Walsh would have sounded more like this when he was younger.
Do you have the entire show on video in this amazing quality? Please share if you do! This is amazing!!!
This is the exact opposite version of fight fire with fire I was looking for
Ma fav

He sound just like Tommy Shaw when he talks

I was thinking the same
I really don't need the explanatory visuals by the singer. I know what the words mean. Thanks!
Just in case you didn't know it - there's a chill in the air.
@@SilentKnight43 I can tell!
I would imagine the singer doesn't care if you like it or not. You're not in the band and he is.
Hey, he’s clearly having fun while performing, I don’t see the harm in that really. It’s better than standing around like a boring piece of wood like you’re in High School chorus being forced to sing sappy songs for a decent grade.
Kerry Livgren,underrated
Sounds...singer sounds like Steve & John....nice job!
Anyone else see a dancing stallion at the end? It had lights on its hoofs. WTF?
This is pretty rough...
This is some great Metallica thrash, isn't it?
lol this sounds nothing like Metallica or thrash metal
Well... I guess the sarcasm wasn't strong enough.
Matthias573 I guess not. I've heard comments about this song being "generic hard rock" or "heavy metal" before, so I took your comment at face value.
well Metallica has a song with the same title... trolls be free
I know, this is more brutal than Slayer
Oh I thought they were doing a cover of Metallica
THRASHH
Holy they all old
Without Steve Walsh, this is not Kansas. End of!

Ronnie is great singer too - I saw their shot Lyric Auditorium - Baltimore lastweek -- great show
Ok Boomer...
Um, Steve didn't even sing the original version of this song
The Prelude Implicit and The Absence of Presence (just came out) are worth checking out.
The horse guy was completely unnecessary and pretty dumb.
I just can't see a one eyed guitar player...
Maybe you need glasses. I see him just fine.
Well he's the original lead guitar player. He could probably play it better than anyone with both eyes closed
this is the great RICH WILLIAMS and he is a genius musician, and you are just a blip on the radar,he's carrying the whole band string wise, show some respect,i didn't want the music to stop and I'm damn glad they still perform
Well, he can see you, as long as you stay to the left.
Wow!
