Congratulations! Good fight...both you and the Ulua. I appreciate you practicing "catch and release"...I do the same. I make my own mostly make my own jigs and go "barbless". Most of my strikes have been on 1 1/2" jigs (#2 hook)....the predators just seem to want to "whack" the small fry. I also remove treble hooks and go with single in-line barbless...I've seen too many "snags" versus hook ups. Barbless makes it less traumatic on the catch and if you even snag yourself of someone else...easy to remove. I know path. I've walked it many times and told my wife I was going to bring my lightweight tackle and walk and whip. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck Braddah! 🤙
I wanted to show a "Whipping" video to the cub scouts... well, if I turned the "sound" off... LOL. Remember kids copy everything we do... and say. LOL. Aloha, nice fish.
That bike path is nuts. Straight chronica stabbing shit and going nuts. Idk how you guys got that far without deciding to just turn around lol. Solid catch tho braddah🤙🏽
Back then when there was cane hauled id ride my bike w no bothers only w wild stray dogs. Now theres homeless drugs guns illegal gambling robbery guns and the list is long. One too many lives lost back there. Although the fishing is good...but put it this way its not worth loosing your life to go bk there unless you have a bunch of guys to go back there...strapped and pray nothing bad happens. Nice catch though...
Awesome fight on light tackle buddy! Congrats! For prolonged battles i tend to turn my cam off if i'm on the 4K setting. If i know i might need more time filming the night before depending where i'm going i set it to 1080 to get more shooting time the night before. Do be careful there. Some weirdos around. Less now there than 3yrs ago but be careful. My friend brings a wasp spray that can that shoot 20ft.
Was u using one grubs
