the winner here, is paiste
people come on ... you may like one or the other but B8 is just B8 alloy, i prefer ZHT which is made in B12 alloy
I do. im very content spending my money wisely on a better cymbal. I stay away from cheap crap like in this video. thanks for the reply.
learn how to hit the cymbals before making a comparison video..please
Does it matter? It is easy to tell how they sound basically.
He hit it... Like a cymbal...??
B8 aren't as bright and have less sustain. So that's great if you like that. I do. But it still sounds dirt cheap
They both sound preaty bad but the ZHT Sounds Better!!!!!
He hit the Sabian and I immediately started laughing
The ring on Sabians is terrible. Had their crash ride. No stick definition, no wash, just nasty ring. My ping ride is 1000x better and before you say price the s series rides from Zildjian are cheaper and better
@Hordesthugz13, Sabian B8 Pro. It's equivalent to ZHT, but is thinner, so it will last longer. Or you could buy my some of my ZHT's for a wicked cheap price, because Im trying to get better cymbals.
For me, ZTH crash sounds much better. I got this cymbal and and I really love it
ZHT's are great holdover cymbals until you can get your hands on some A's.
Never was a fan of the B8 series.
However, if I had to pick any set of entry level cymbols, it would DEFINITELY be Meinl Classics. Amazing sound for an entry level price.
Sabian B8 = Zildjian ZBT....... Sabian XS20 = Ziildjian ZHT
The only problem with ZHT is that they crack within 2 years. Considering that most Cast Bronze cymbals last up to 5 years before any damage. However ZHT's are Sheet Bronze, therefore, they are thicker and more high pitched, which makes them crack easier.
if the b8 is a low level beginner cymbal, then what are the xs20s?
I bought a b8 splash once, played it a few minutes, it sounded like a f*cking bell because it had so much tone and not any splash sound, I was so disappointed, boxed it back up and returned it. I have no respect for sabian anymore, as every cymbals I have tested is the same thing... too much "note" or overtone and not enough crash sound. Zildjian gets it right with their crash sound. I also have a wutan ride and I use it as a crash, sounds great! My other ride is bigger and darker sound
They both sound bad my ears AHHHHHHHHHHH
Zildjian is the best!
Witch is the low qu beginner?
Press 4 for Zildian and 8 for Sabian
@samurairudy B8 sound is good for the price. AAX's are one huge chunk of cash. I personally perfer AA's. But they're all good :)
Sabian winner :)B8 deeper, fuller, ZHT clear sound board
The B8 sounds a lot smoother to my ears. I play on a set with all ZHTs and they do suck. I think the B8, ZBT, and ZHT all suck though lol. Upgrade to real cast B20 if you want something good :)
yeah money gives you good cymbals cheap cymbals suck
Is lenny kravitz talking?
That B8 sounds pretty rough.
Zildjian beets Sabian once again!!
sabian b8
Yeah its B12. B20 is the high grade cast cymbals.
@samurairudy Awesome deal man :D
i dont like the regular b8's but i got a B8 15" thin crash that i really like, the ZBT 16" crash has way to much ring to it and its annoying AF, ZHT's are alright though i prefer AAX and HHX
Should have gone with the B8 Thin Crash. It's so much better.
@stefredendkid23 Yup pretty much.
i like zht :D
are u sure it's b12? i thought it was b10 and b12 was the highest grade?
B8 Sabian
U on drugs?
+ELiTE_OpTiic Yes I am
+jhon reginaldson Ok that explains alot.
+ELiTE_OpTiic Yeah I know , are you on drugs ?
+jhon reginaldson Nope. Thats how i know that the Sabian sounds like 3 piles of dog shit.
if u have 300 dollars to fork over on a crash. although i have to say the alpha series is pretty damn nice. a bit more than zht or xs20's but worth it.
the B8 made my snare rattle
I like sabian but if you are going to get sabian get B8 pro of AAX.
Sabian B8 is the winner
@skopserman no the sabian crash sounds better.
I have a zbt 14 zht 14 and I 16
ZHT rates beginner intermediate and professional.
zildjian won by a long shot in my book!
@TheDrummingMexican96
No, you're just close-minded when it comes to cymbals. end of discussion =.=
Nobody is better then zildjian
another note, hes also comparing a thin crash to a regular
16/41 cm
@abmanc98 And I know more about cymbals and Sabian wins this one seeing as b8 pros are cast not sheet.
You got the ZHT for only $15 dollars?
@stefredendkid23 Actually there are 72 genius.
I have owned sabian and zht. I absolutely do not like the b8 rings way to long its nice and heaby though it will last an aggressive drummer
ZHT uses b12 sheet. They aren't bad for a beginner set.
Ingriss Cymbal $55 for crash 18"
B8
@abmanc94 b8 pros aren't cast
@TheDrummingMexican96
There's nothing low-quality about B8 cymbals....
@stefredendkid23 And I bet you didn't know this because you don't seem to know much Sabian was made by Zildjian workers that just wanted the factories in the US and Canada and I bet there is more than 25 cymbals in aax. Aax is okay but A customs have waaayyy better sound I would only use aax as my top choice if I was endorsed by Sabian because A custom, K custom, and Z3 are waayy better all though I do like the Radia cup chime.
those overtones on the B8 piss me off man, ZHT wins this one.
Suena horrible, pero aguante el SABIAN !
Why are you complaining about Zildjian being better?
watch?v=wgpt1gPkkM8&feature=youtu.be
another test of this crash
Of course the b8 is gonna sound bad. Try comparing a sabian AA crash to a ZHT. See who wins that
No, that's not even close to what happened. When Avedis Zildjin was dying he revealed the secret to both his sons, Armand and Robert. Since they both had and knew the secret they often fought about who would run the company. After many years of this Robert stopped and traveled to Canada and created Sabian. Know your history before you go and talk shit about other companies and how bad they are. Sabian is a really good brand too. Jimmy "the rev" sullivan uses sabian aswell as neil part. -Welcome
hm, Sabian simply sounds clearer and better. Gotta go with sabian.
Do you not realize Zildjian has been around longer sounds better more quality and sabian is made by the other brother that left zildjian to try and copy every single zildjian symbal and still cant compete? Zildian hands down
@drummerjstone
so, you're writing off Sabian because of a beginner level cymbal you played for a few minutes? This is just another blanket statement from an inexperienced drummer with an insecure loyalty to a brand because it's featured in a guitar hero game.
most mature drummers won't play favorites with their cymbal brands, but the ones who do will explain why but not knock the other cymbal brands. Blanket statements like these paint way too widely and are unprofessional.
Sabian B8 too bad, probably the worst.
I think both sound bad :/
zildjian sounds better but sabian is more like durable i guess
That B8 sounds horrible
xs20 wins
zildjian zht is better than sabian b8
You know why? because the ZHT's are a intermidiate/ pro cymbal level. But the B8 are the lowest quality cymbals Sabian has. So do your research first.
To me they both sounded terrible
@stefredendkid23 Haha you're kidding right!! A customs are soooo much better than aax and you can't compare paragon to z3 because paragons are accent cymbals do your research kid.
It's B8 vs B12 - B12 wins but they both suck XD
+ZildjianHHX KGBex.p Well, the ZHT has better bronze, but Sabian has better manufacturing.
They're all B8.
they are basically the equivelant of zhts but they are made by sabian instead of zildjian.... as for the quality. they both suck.
who cares who endorses either company. btw u need to expand your horizons. there are better drummers than neil peart. and "THE REV" herp derp. look up jojo mayer, aaron spears, dave weckl, thomas lang, mike mangini. gavin harrison. I think most people would find them a lot more interesting than either of the two you listed.
Learn how to hit a crash properly
They both suck! Typical awful 'brassy' noise as produced by all b8 sheet cymbals. Don't waste your time or money...
