I heard some people say SCAD stands for Sleep comes after death on Internet. is it true? I really want to study art in SCAD but when I heard that I'm kinda scared.
I’ve heard that too but I don’t think it’s true. I haven’t had to pull an all nighter yet

Yes be sure to apply for the portfolio scholarship- it goes up to like $11,000/year and I’m going to apply for more scholarships this month
Do scad offer like on campus jobs for students that want to work while in college
Yes they do you can work at residence life, or as a tour guide, or as a model, and lots of other things like that
What can you cook in your room? My daughter is in bumble and ordered the fridge and micro.....is there any area to cook in ?
There is no common kitchen area so unfortunately all there is to cook with is the microwave.
And when you apply to scad can you apply at the very beginning of your senior year like if you already toke your SAT or do I have wait tell around October or December I’m just making sure because I don’t want to apply to late
On the application website it should say when applications are due

I’m doing my junior and senior year together this year so I’m class 2023 and i be completely finish by end of July going into august what is the dead line for scad so the proof of high school diploma before school start or is their a way I can contact scad before I apply
This is my last question I’m sorry if I’m asking to many questions but with your classmates how long after the first day of school did it take everybody to get comfortable with each other and talk to each other
It kind of depends on the class but everyone’s really nice
Does SCAD have job opportunities like at the coffee shops around campus?
Yes you can work at places like beefuel (the coffee shop,) residence life, or you can also be a student ambassador and lead tours and do stuff like that

I plan on going to scad but I won’t be living on campus will I still be Able to go to friends dorm or go to scad fit gym or be able to enter the hive
Yes you’ll have an id card that will get you into the hive, scad fit, and other dorm buildings.

One More question idk if this college do it but some college have thing where u can have Apple Music on the school u don’t have to pay for it like a student subscription or they might have a discount for it
Not sure about Apple Music but there are other free things like Adobe creative cloud

And for your Portfolio can it be a google slides or anything like that I’m going for interior design
In the portfolio website when you apply they have a specific way of uploading your files
Even if u won’t be living or staying on campus can u still go to ur friends dorms or good to the scad fit gym
When you pick your minor like is your minor gone be your second degree that you get cause I want go for interior design and design management but if I minor in design management would I be taking all the classes I need for that major or would I have to go for both major when I apply
You can either double major in both or minor in one. For minors, you usually only take 5 classes and you don’t get a degree
Do scad classroom look like high school class or are they very big and for school supplies do they give you list of things U need
They are small like a high school class but very nice and modern. Typically 20-30 people per class. And yes every teacher gives you a list of supplies and also they have a kit that you can buy with all the supplies you need

You can look on the scad website under tuition or admissions and look for your specific major

Do yo get to do a internship or stuff like that so that you can be financially stable on your own while studying

Yes! There’s a small section with a vegan protein and meal option and a salad bar

Yes you can
Is it all freshmen who don't have class on Friday? And is this specific to your promotion?
Correct, no one at scad has class on Fridays. Sometimes professors offer optional extra help office hours that you can attend
And when i do the loan part is that suppose to be done before I pick my housing or after before I start there

So me being a garduate student, does that come under freshmen? or graduate?
Yes you would be under graduate

I think you would have to live in a different scad dorm because the hive is only for freshman and undergrad transfers
How many holiday breaks do scad get
We get a 6 week winter break from mid November to after the new year, a 2 week spring break, and summer break from beginning of June-mid September if you don’t stay for the summer quarter
