I think it's really cool that no matter what games he plays, Syk always focuses on finding ways/methods that works for him instead of the "meta." From preferring nostalgic deck in Yugioh, to doing troll strats in valorant. He never does the most "efficient" thing. The "training" arc can be hard to watch, mostly because the viewers flaming him ruining the chill vibe, but I find it respectable that he sticks to his way. But that just means it's super rewarding watching him eventually get his wins. A real life anime protagonist, indeed
This really shows the power of having a simple light confirm at beginner level when unsafe moves are flying left and right. You can tell he's frustrated that other characters and players are able to do crazier/powerful stuff but the simple gameplan went a long way here.
Yeah, classic vs morden they can just hold r2 and do more damage then kyon, he has to chip them down, mordrn geif isn't the best player so she's losing to blanka
Having strong fundamentals and reads is much more important than learning flashy combos in fighting games. Sykkuno is actually doing very well with just the knowledge he has gained so far.
The only thing you have to understand here is that most of the streamers don't play fighting games outside of these events. So learning fundamentals or whatever isnt going to help them in the long run when they aren't interested in the long run. And for the sajam slam specifically they only get like 1 week to properly practice. That's why Brian f was going to tell all his players to play Honda.
Idk anything about SF6 but what I can tell is that sykkuno has a very solid understanding of basics and is capable of reading his opponent to an extent.
He has the basics to read his opponents at this level, but he still has a long ways to go to reach higher ranks. On this level, there's so much that could have been easily punished on platinum level. He can learn, but there will be A LOT OF GROWING PAINS. This is coming from someone who just reached four star diamond level. I just hope he has the patience for it and keeps grinding and learning, because it was frustrating for me to get on that level. The game is awarding, but it is no where close to being simple or easy on high level.
I'ma be honest, Sykkuno is the king of adapt. Bro can literally adapt if he seen it once and he'll know what to do to counter it. He's just so amazing.
Zangief (both M & C) has by far the highest winrate in Rookie Rank and although his winrate isn't as high in Iron, he's still #1. He remains top 5 in Bronze then falls to 15 in silver. He slowly falls off the higher you go, but remains with a slightly above average winrate even in Master. He's really strong against new players who aren't used to his moves so it makes sense Syk's having a tough time against him. Zangief also has a 57.23% winrate against Classic Cammy players, which Sykkuno is, compared to 52.67% against Modern Cammy players in Silver rank.
Best thing is he gains confidence after doing 4-1 for the team, knowing he's not the worst one who started the same time as him. He was malding before the tourney from frustration at ranked after all.
Sykkuno could’ve fooled me with his lack of confidence, the way he adapts and analyze their opponents is pretty solid for a beginner. All he’s missing is the extra hours of experience.
I feel him in the beginning. Picking up fighting games for the first time is very tilting and a very steep learning curve. Doesn't help that he picked Classic Cammy either, cause she relies heavily on footsies and fundamentals. My friend who picked up the game for his first fighter did the same thing and struggled hard, but as soon as she switched to Luke he did WAY better.
Yeah, fighting games are rough to learn. I fell in love with fighting games when I was a kid, and I often wonder if I would have gotten into them later in life if I didn't have that nostalgic connection to the.
That's funny bcs that's the exact opposite experience he's in right now, lol. Of course he's having difficulty playing SF6 like u said but he found difficulty playing easier characters bcs he can't press buttons that fast (he said it himself) so he decide to play Kimberly at 1st but he even struggled with her so he opted for Cammy which he did way better on. + Street Fighter is whole different game compared to Tekken which a lot of Tekken players in this Tourney got whiplash of
@ceifeiroazul2654 tekken 7 player here who got both sf6 and tekken 8 on launch day. From my own experience sf6 is harder to understand early on even though on paper sf6 has simpler mechanics and knowledge compared to tekken 8. I think it may have to do with that in tekken buttons lead into strings which is an intentional game design in the tekken series. Buttons do thing then lead yo stance depending on the character which usually lead into more important moves. Sf6 also has 3 bars to keep up with compared to 2 on tekken where 1 of them is a once per round use anyways. This is more utility to manage which a lot of new players are just trying to learn moves and fundamentals. Then there's motion inputs. Don't get me wrong they arnt hard but tekken doesn't have many motion inputs. As most moves come from a directional input. Tekkens committal actions mean that faster attacks with easier input are the go to but motion inputs in tekken mean that the move is very good if you can execute it while under pressure. Doesn't mean sf6 is harder than tekken or tekken is made easier, but as a new player you can FEEL the impact of your buttons compared to sf6 and that can be make or break for new players who wanna just mash buttons.
Nah that zangief player was cheap doing one move over and over again how is this tournament level ? 💀 That attack is so shit 3 hits and it’s over 💀 I don’t play street fighter but is there a way to counter that ?
What do you expect from a complete beginner? He did his best to avoid that, it's not like he knows how to counter that attack. why tf are you expecting that from a beginner? jeez
@@zm6rnachrnau That's his choice then, I get that cammy has crap dmg with modern, but he get the gaming experience of his own choice. Pretty sure his problem with Gief is his lack of experience against him, while Doki has good grasp of most of gief attack range, bread and butter beginner combo(Praise JustinW for his coach.) and played grappler in Tekken.
Who plays modern Zangief in a streamer tournament that's supposed to be fun? It feels like you're just trying to cheese the win instead of actually learning the game.
Doki is just a grappler main. She had tons of fun playing King with Brawlpro in the last Sajam Slam, so it understandable that she gravitated towards Gief this time around.

I really like that hes starting with the basics and slowly learning how to do more and more it really makes a diffrence
Did better in this round robin than the one from tekken.
He's going to dominate in the actual tournament
Well, he didn't train much for round robin in Tekken because he thought others would be around the same level.
I'ma be honest, Sykkuno is the king of adapt. Bro can literally adapt if he seen it once and he'll know what to do to counter it. He's just so amazing.
Based on today's points, he's the best in his tier. His only weakness is Dokigieff
The clipper left it out but the zangief at the start of the video was actually dokibird lol
Is it DokiGief or Dogief?

Yeah shocked she didn't do the combo jwong told her

Sykkuno: sexy lady
Lily: same name
Scarra: 🇫🇷
Once he becomes a hooligan, he will never be defeated
I see why boxbox asked why he chose cammy she is caked up
The only reason people like Cammy
Everytime Zangief grabs, its flashed on full view das crazy
