  • I struggled with basketball confidence throughout my career, but here's some things I did to get better and become more consistent every time I stepped onto the court

    I feel like sometimes you just gotta play the game… People who don’t usually score, tend to feel selfish when they take shots during a game, but EVERYONE misses shots. Use your intuition and respect n trust yourself when you put in that work in the gym or on skills. Love your channel btw. Keep it up fam

    I stopped getting the jitters after a 2 minute cold shower every day. It really helps.

    This is real content man... this extends well beyond basketball but into life as well. You want confidence in something, work for it. Thank you, Brian

    My coaches always tell me to go up stronger because I’m 6’5 and be getting blocked by lil dudes pretty often 🤦🏽‍♂️ I really don’t know what to change because I feel like I’m going up strong but I’m not

      focus on trying to dunk everything and even if you can’t it’ll make you go up stronger!

      Fax lol . I am 6 feet 5 . I got blocked by behind by athletic guards . You got to go up strong or pump fake. Keep the ball up high and go up.

    I feel this video a lot. I can definitely dunk for vert and stuff but like even when I’m wide open I’d rather take a lay up then dunk with my 6’7 ass. My confidence is all over the place. Super lows and decently high. I just need to find a way to simply clear my head and just hoop.

      It's really just repetition, you gotta get to a point where you've done it so much in a gym by yourself that when you get in a game it becomes automatic!

    Wassup bro, can you make a video on how to make layups for smaller guards like I can’t make layups it just hits the backboard and falls down I don’t know what to do if I can’t even make a basic layup

    How bad was college conditioning? I feel like that’s the thing I’m probably most scared about because I hate conditioning so much. Is there anyway you can go to any specifics of what you did?

      Conditioning is your opportunity to invest in beating your opponent up and down court in the 4th quarter. Instead of fearing it, understand it and embrace it. It's part of the journey.

      @@MikeTidman yes sir for sure. I can attest to the benefits of conditioning I just hate it because I’m a lenky slower guard

    My issue is in game i could be doing well while my teammates are doing bad but if they make bad moves, nobody says anything, as soon as i miss 1 shot im called trash and people tell me i should change sports and stuff

    • @BrianThomasII
      @BrianThomasII  Рік тому +5

      I know it’s hard to do but try to block out the noise and focus on getting a little bit better everyday. Everyone makes mistakes & your teammates need to understand that the only way to improve is to make mistakes.

    Next video could you do bad plays and what to do instead.

    • @BrianThomasII
      @BrianThomasII  3 роки тому

      what type of bad plays?

    • @NicksJaMs
      @NicksJaMs 3 роки тому +1

      Like offensive plays like someone playing something wrong or doing something wrong (that result in a steal). Maybe do offense since you have talked about defensive plays that could have gone better before. Btw 🔥 video keep it up
