- Is Gumnami Baba really Netaji? This video is very important when this question arises. Because from 1982 to 1985, this saint lived in this house in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. Shri Shakti Singh is the owner of this house. He told us the history of that time how Bhagwanji came here. He even opened up about the mystery surrounding his death.

In all probability, it was a conscious decision taken by Netaji to live a life of a Sanyasi because of the background of the 2nd World War and the likelihood of the erstwhile Allies terming him as a war criminal because of his association with Axis Powers. Once he went into hiding in Russia, it must have been revealed to him that it would not be in national interest to reappear as Netaji in India. His own conviction and spirituality would have been decisive in his existence as an ascetic for so many years until he passed away.

Very true, If we are taking breath in this free motherland one of the main reasons is HIM and his whole team along with all his supporters who laid their life as well as did actions that we are enjoying this freedom. Our salute to all the freedom fighters who served/scarified their live and family for this freedom. I might have seen Gumnaami several times and everytime I could not stop my tears. One's patriotisms starts to fire up and you get goosebumps, how the country bleed during that period.

Myself and family were fortunate to have visited Ayodhya and paid respects at Netaji's samadhi in Feb. 2024.
We bow our head in respect to Shri Shakthi Singhji who has such an aura, probably with the blessings of the Nethaji and his replies are heart stirring!
Perhaps Modi Govt must be choosing an appropriate time in the near future to bring out to the open the real truth about Nethaji and to offer befitting tribute matching his stature.

P.N. Oak had stayed with us in London for 1 year in 1977. He had worked with Bose in the INA. At that time, when asked about Bose, he had mentioned that he'd heard that he was now a sanyasin in North India, but hadn't really investigated it. My point is that this story had been around for a while back then.
Nice to know that my uncle Late P N Oak stayed with you in London. His book on Netaji has been book reviewed in 2 parts. It is in Marathi.

In future interviews please find out how he was paying his rent , cash or Cheque and was he himself paying or somebody else was paying on his behalf. How come he had Japanese cutlery and his father’s umbrella with him, somebody who has been to Japan , Taiwan, Germany , China , Russia and Nepal will not bring an umbrella and cutlery with him.
