"Wait a minute, Scully," a voice said.
My vision cleared enough that I could see two people near me. I seemed to be lying on something. A bed, maybe? But where? And why?
"I think he's coming around," the closer person said. A man. The other seemed to be a woman. "Welcome back, Pilot. How do you feel?"
"Fine, I think," I said. "What happened? Where am I?"
"You're at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio," the man said. "As for what happened, we'd like the answer to that probably as much as you do. What's the last thing you remember?"
I hesitated. Did they have enough security clearance? Was it safe to tell them? I took the chance. "I was sitting in the cockpit of a test plane. I was going over the pre-flight checklist. Everything seemed to be okay. Flight control gave me clearance to proceed to my departure runway. The sky was cloudy and I couldn't see the Moon. Ground viewers might not see my plane, but it wasn't any protection from orbital surveillance satellites. I started up the engines, increasing thrust. Everything seemed all right. I released the brakes and the plane rolled forward. I reached the start of the runway just fine. No problems. Not yet anyway. I increased thrust even more. The plane quickly rolled forward, reaching takeoff speed sooner than I expected. I pulled back on the control wheel and felt the plane leave the ground. So far so good. The plane was stable all the way up to the altitude for the latest test. I reported to ground control that everything was okay. Moments later the plane froze, no movement in any direction no matter what I did. I couldn't reach ground control. Then a bright light filled the cockpit from above. I tried to see what was producing it, but it was like looking at the sun. The canopy started to open. I couldn't get it to close again. My harness opened and I felt weightless as I rose upward. I was about to see whatever the source was when I blacked out. Next thing I know I'm lying on a table with what looked like scientists or doctors nearby, examining me. Only they didn't look like any military or civilian staff I'd ever seen. I tried to ask them what was going on but they didn't answer. Either they didn't understand or had orders not to explain anything to me. Laser-like lights swept up and down my body, head to toes and back up again. One of them leaned over and looked me in the eye. Big eyes, no pupils that I could see. I felt like I was falling into their eyes. Then I blacked out. Next thing I know I'm here."
"Where were you stationed when it happened?" the woman asked me.
"Edwards Air Force Base," I said. "Did someone transport me here?"
"Someone," the man said, "but probably not by anything human."
"Mulder," the woman said, "not everything has to have an extraterrestrial origin. Maybe the military brought him here."
"I asked, Scully," the man said. "No records of transfer. As far as Edwards is concerned, he's still stationed there. Due to go on-duty in a few hours. Duties unspecified. Classified, to be exact. Unless you have a better explanation for why he isn't in California anymore?"
"I don't," she said. "Not yet, anyway. There's probably a reasonable explanation for it."
"What if there isn't?" he asked. "Then what?"
"Please," I interrupted them. "I need to be back at Edwards. I don't want to get into trouble. I have a job to do, a job I like."
"There's another problem," the man said. "After you were -- removed -- from your test plane, the plane went into a spiral and crashed. No survivor. As far as the military is concerned, you're dead."
"Why am I here, then?" I asked. "No one will answer my questions. No one but you two."
"As far as the military is concerned, you're John Doe," the man said. "Found near one of the entrance gates to this base. No I.D. on you, naked as a baby. They were hoping Scully and I could find out who you are."
"Test Pilot Ken Michaels," I said. "Do you need my serial number?"
The man shook his head. "If you tried to convince anyone that you're alive, they probably wouldn't believe you. Dead and buried."
"What do I do, then?" I asked. "I really want to go back to Edwards. I want to keep testing planes. I really do."
"I know, sir," the man said, looking thoughtful and glanced at the woman. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Like someone in a witness protection program," she said. "New name, new job, new home. Because if he went back to Edwards now, the military would have to admit to something that even I find hard to believe sometimes."
"That UFOs and ET's exist?" the man asked.
She nodded and looked at me, "I'm sorry, but for the time being, maybe it's better that you stay dead. At least until our investigation is completed."
"Do I have a choice?" I asked.
They shook their heads.
"Great," I muttered. "I knew I should've stayed in bed."
The man smiled slightly. "I know the feeling."
"Anything else you need to know?" I asked them.
"We'll let you know," the man said. "In the meantime, take it easy. Focus on recovery."
I nodded. "You'll update me?"
"If we learn something, we'll tell you," the woman said.
"Promise?" I asked.
"We promise," the man said.
I watched them leave. I remembered a phrase from the "X-Files" TV series: "Trust no one." Could I trust Mulder and Scully? Or were they just humoring me and i was crazy? Where was the Cigarette Man when you needed him?

The Universe is a massive place it would be sad to see humans just being here there's a lot of locked history that could debunk the possibilities that aliens have visited us before in the past I am also a believer even if I don't get to see them.
Update aliens could be the gods or perhaps the angels maybe they're the faeries or the elves either way the roswell greys are itched in history and act more like gods I get results by believing them as gods from the stars there's also legends I know about the "star" people get the hint? It's like Close Encounters of the Third Kind in real life the star people of course come from the stars and you can see their "lights" in the skies replace gods with aliens and it all makes sense the aliens act in quiet as the gods helping us build our society there are no green little men instead they're roswell greys also the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind really is based on Roswell Greys you guys should look it up it's a pretty cool legend and I've been following their tracks ever since I was a kid looking up at Saturn through my telescope I already knew we weren't the only ones.
