The weird creepy house scared me so I burned it down. Then I met some people on the road who scared me...
I like the house. Agriculture and Dark.
Grim, minacious, dark and despairing.
The looming dusk hung over me like a shroud. Wind whispers through the trees, calling my name, conjuring me. Leaves scattered about my feet....and a heavy mist hung in the air...ominous. The house ached and creaked as I approached the front stairs. A wail from the back woods, from unknown source behind me, slipped through the trees.
It was out there....watching....but I was home. The lights flickering within, beckoning through the windows....light mingled with shadows, dancing and slipping over surface like a silky moonlike caress over ink.
A chill ran over my flesh.....down my back....and I slipped my key into the lock, hearing it turn with a distinct, solid, metallic click. The door creaked open slowly, just as a piercing howl pierced the night air from the forest behind me....closer.....I locked the door, sealing the deadbolts. With every sense peeled, I held my breath... and heard footsteps, heavy and weighted with power.....
Opening the cabinet, laced with ammo, I loaded my hunting rifle and braced for the worst. After all, out in the desolate woods, no one can hear you scream....
