I am not meaning to correct this lovely brother but I would like to add that I think rejection plays a part but it is not the root. It is the consequent feeling. But I think the root of offense is SELF-LOVE. When we love ourselves and exalt our opinions above that of others once we are rejected we cannot live with the resultant disappointment/anger/rejection we feel. The only way we feel then, to remove the feeling is to humiliate or remove the source of these negative feelings. The number one cure for offense is HUMILITY. This gets rid of all the Pride that is the precursor to OFFENCES.
