- In this video, I will be comparing 2 videos: the Sony RX100 VII and the Canon Powershot G7X Mark III. This video is for educational purposes only. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the companies, their products or their opinions. This was just my personal experience.

One thing I feel is only fair to disclose is that the Canon was a rental. We used 2 of the same Sony cameras to shoot this video. One of the Sonys also being a rental as well. Although it could have played a factor in the issues with the Canon, I do feel that wasn’t the reason for those issues.

The Sony definitely seems to sport the superior sensor. In the beginning of the comparison you can clearly see more detail as well as better DR on the Sony. What's weird is barring colour the Sony has the Canon beaten on nearly all counts (rolling shutter/jello effect, af in low light) the Sony is also more compact while giving that pop-up viewfinder. By the way, you're so beautiful it was difficult to focus on the content for the first 20 secs. LoL. Thanks for the awesome comparison!

- After 18' recording in 4K overheating is turned on and at 20 ', Still no recording?

I had only rented the Canon for a weekend, so unfortunately I’m unsure if Canon has addressed this issue. I’ve been very happy with the Sony.

Did you shoot video in full hd or 4K? when ur cameras' batteries died so fast
4K on both cameras.
The overheating issue sounds like a flaw in the construction. I'd recommend reporting it to the store.
I did add a disclaimer in the description of this video since 2 of the 3 cameras used to shoot this video were rentals. Although, if you google it, there are thousands of comments of people out there who have had the same issue.
what camera was not a rental
I rented both but after only a couple of hours, I bought a brand new Sony exactly like this rented Sony. The intro and hallways parts were shot on it. The rest was shot on the rented cameras.

Type-C is the biggest advantage of Canon.
so few comparing with g7x2 and g7x3 . g7x3 is lag with focus dont know why. p.s. Sony make better job to me but is so pricey :( dont know what to choose.
I think it depends on the type of content you make. I originally thought I’d go the GoPro route but it was just somewhat limited. Good luck choosing! Hope this helps but the focus and battery were such deal breakers for me personally.
