I like this song , love the beat , I’m 57 , my son was always listening to this song , then I listened to the lyrics , this song can be taken a few ways , but when I listened to the lyrics , I just started crying , I was in a 15 year relationship , and my son wasn’t treated good , this song to me is what my son holds inside , for years , a step father who beat him , so yes his mother was in dismay , and waking up from a day dream , is his hidden thoughts , and the demons he battles , not wanting to fight him anymore , yes , that’s how I take this song , what goes on in my sons thoughts and the demons he battles because if it , I still live the song ❤️
