I have the same awning- my only advice is not to take it out in the wind. The holes for the support arms are quite fragile and have snapped on me. But for $60-80 (on sale) you can’t go wrong. Great awning.
I’ve just moved to Auckland and I’m about to pimp my Jimny. Was wondering if you have any buyers remorse, or are there any must haves. Thinking about starting with the base rack.
Hi @stephengauden-ing9304 , thanks for the question. I definitely wish I had bought the larger base rack instead of the smaller size. Price and weight were my main considerations. A wind deflector is a must. I bought the arm rest that attaches to the seat. It looks great but it’s not as solid as I would have liked. I think an arm rest that rests in the Center cup holders is probably more solid and will provide more extra storage. Instead of the interior rear ceiling net, I’d choose a solid shelf. The net can’t carry much weight and hangs too low in the Center. I’m very happy with the rear headrest mount. I bought a shorter awning with quick release brackets. Because of the quick release brackets I think a larger awning would have been better to provide more shade. Front runner ladder is great as it gets extra support from the spare wheel mount. I don’t think all ladders do. The air vent cup holders are very flimsy. You might want to consider something a bit more solid.
Hey! You didn’t ask me, but I want to respond- I bought mine in may 2023. It’s just me, my partner and my dogs and I have not had a single regret. No issues with it other than the factory head-unit is a bit average. Have never gotten stuck, cheap on fuel and really fun and easy to kit out with mods. Can’t go wrong

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve noticed it doesn’t like strong wind. Def great value for money.
Keep doing the good work 👍
Thank you for the message. Appreciate it.

Thanks.
Good advice.
Also thinking about better tyres speakers and and and.
@@stephengauden-ing9304 tell me about it. My never ending wishlist is far bigger than my budget. Jimny has taken a bit of a back seat lately.
