It's closer than I expected. S21FE is a great value.
The thing that was left out is the 10x periscope zoom on the S21 Ultra which is quite incredible.

Absolutely stunning at how close the S21FE’s camera and picture quality is compared to the S21U. The S21U has tremendous image quality when using zoom and or video recording. But why do I feel like the S21FE had better color quality? I’m currently using an iPhone 12 Pro and I won’t be upgrading to the 13 Pro, I want to switch to Android but I want a smaller more compact phone that still gives me the best screen and camera quality.
S21 fe sucks alots of contrast

It is about 2 weeks that I got my s21 fe, and I should say it has a real great camera. I wanted it for influencer stuffs and really does the job, and one step that makes it ahead of s21 ultra is it gets one more android update till android 16 and about half the price. And don't forget it gets better by updates
I was waiting for someone to do a comparison of the two because the ultra was sold out and therefore I had to go for the FE. Unless you want to zoom a lot, I think it's a great phone and I am excited to get it tomorrow
The s21fe is still a great phone. Obviously not as feature packed and as high end is the ultra, but still very much a great phone. You will have similar cameras. The camera system on the ultra is still much much better. My work phone is an s21 FE and my personal phone is an s21 Ultra. There is most definitely huge differences in the camera from what I can tell. But still you'll be happy with your phone
Its a nice phone. I am using it for last 10 days. It has changed my entire experience of using mobile phone.

S21 Ultra slightly better with selfies, video stabilisation, zoom shots for stills images and zoom videos. Other than these, S21fe camera's quality was neck in neck with the S21 Ultra. Great comparison man.⭐
S21fe microphone is a killer. Amazing sound! For photos it's really good Bud for videos it should be up to 1080p otherwise it gets 2 choppy

Interesting... I had S21 ultra and was a nice smartphone. This S21 FE is a good opportunity, because is a more comfortable size and mate texture to use without case. Love it

This is a great comparison thank you. The fe quality is great but the ultra has so much more detail which is definitely what I'm looking for. I have professional nikon gear and lenses but I do not always want to break it all out or carry with me for everything. My boys play baseball and I would love to be able to capture video of their late night games and upload without the need to transfer via wifi or using a laptop to edit action shots. The price difference is a lot and I've struggled to really make a decision between the two but your video comparison has been great and informative. Thank you!
I am also looking for features like you. I'm looking for a phone with good night shots. I especially want to be able to shoot the moon scene in the sky. I am looking for a phone that will handle me more than equal to the one with a lens camera. Which phone are you using?
The FE is sharpening more ( for better or worse), color accuracy might be better. Zoomed video is jittery.
I returned mine because of that 😬
I can see the difference in the cameras but it’s not enough for me to buy the more expensive galaxy the FE will get the job done for me , thx for the video

The only advantage samsung s21 ultra has in this comparison is
1- better low light photos on ultrawide in day light it's same
2- Better video on 3 times telephoto camera but photos have little to no difference
Also sometimes s21fe takes better photo as it can apply software onto low pixel sensor Better .Hit like if you agree.
If people can get it at 650-600 dollars it's good deal but at 700 people will choose iphone 13
got my fe for $500, pretty happy overall, battery life could be better tho. might upgrade to the s23 next year
Received my S21 FE today, sad to see it can't record 1080/60fps with ultrawide and telephoto lenses

S21 FE is basically better than S21/S21+.
photos looks nice on the fe, even better than the ultra in some cases, but video recording is not that great, it seems that the 3x zoom while recording is just digital
you can clearly see the shift in lenses from the main camera to the 3x telephoto. It's definitely not a digital zoom on the main camera.

The stabilizer on the s21 ultra supeiror has you did mention. That's obvious.
In the UK though , I think the s21 Fe might stack up nicely , as we only get exynos chip ... The 888 is superior so we might get a better overall experience with the Fe
really pretty close! it kind of feels like if you give any phone over $600 a decent amount of light, there's not much to separate. seems like the bigger difference is in low light situations and zoom. i have the 21fe and i'm glad to see i'm not missing out too much between the 21U, which i was considering.

I really don't know why Samsung refuses to put electronic stabilization in selfie video for Fe and Galaxy A🤷🏽♂️.
And above all, I'm waiting to see if Samsung will really allow itself to stop the updates of the Ultra before those of the Fe.

I sold my s21 ultra because I like to use smartphones with one hand on most of time, and its heavy and big, and bought an s21 fe for the half of value than sold my s21 u. Im very happy with this phone, its more light and smaller, of course s21u is Better, but dont justify the double value, I only miss the macro photos with s21u, its very good with s21u. I dont care too much with zoom (10x), its ok for me the 3x quality of s21 fe.

For photography both are VERY close
For video, I'd say they are still close but the 21 Ultra had better stabalisation overall

I have to say more than 7 month uese fe, up to now didnt find any fault just ,battery witch you can go to setting an turn on remove animation then you can uese more than 1 day have battery life

S21FE deals better with skin tones making them look more natural in selfies. S21U handles better low light conditions, resulting in more detailed photos and better contrast. Video stabilization is better in this device also. All in all, S21FE is a good choice for daily use.

S21 ultra win overall, S21 ultra price now nearly same as the 21Fe 5G. And the only advantage it had is 1 year extra update and newer.
The same price? Where do you live? In The Netherlands the S21FE 747 euro's(128 GB version) and the S21 Ultra is (128 GB) 1080 euro's.
@@Djekkie-gj7jz i live in southest east asia, brand new 21FE 5G cost 716$ , and S21 ultra like 850$ in current market price . Only matter of time the price will be similar or maybe lower.

The s21 ultra definitely has better video recording capabilities since the fe doesn't have any stabilization in 3x and front camera.

I had s21fe seit 6 months. Its a good phone with a good camera, but in most cases the Huawei p20 pro (my previous phone) camera was much better.
Scene optimizer was off, but auto HDR was turned on.

The S20U cameras were quite disappointing and although the s21U did improve them, they never looked as good as many YT creators proclaimed and the software improvements over the last year can be seen with the S21FE looking the better camera overall. That means the S22U should be a further step forward.
If I was choosing now, I would not have either of these until I had seen the s22 line. By then the S21U should be even cheaper (currently £850 in the UK new) as will the S21 FE (can buy for £570). Unless you need the hyped zoom on the s21U then there is little reason to buy the S21U over the FE for the camera IMHO. So around £500 the S21FE could be a solid choice with the S22 line all likely to get a £100 money grab. The S22U at around $1400 with taxes is now getting ridiculous especially as it is a tiny iterate upgrade (from the S20U) if you are not an s-pen user (me).

Had bought an early release S21 ultra Exynos phone, the overal camera quality was using point and shot in most cases by far not that good as many reviews claimed it to be and not comparable to the picture quality they put out there.
@@a.k.2363 Yes @A.K. I agree with your point that the S21 Ultra is not the world's best point and shoot camera. I own a 512Gb 16Gb RAM Exynos S21 Ultra and I love it as it takes brilliant pictures and video BUT this is only with some manual tinkering to get the results I want. If I use auto mode In anything but bright sunny conditions I am picking holes in the image it is presenting me with. My exposure lock is always on whatever I deem necessary to get the visual result I want. Same with videos as exposure seems to be too high in both modes in dull conditions for example. HDR is very good in all modes though. You need to learn all the different camera modes that the S21 Ultra has to really get your moneys worth out of it. My Wife's A52s takes just as good pictures when both are in auto mode, but stretch your input and the S21 Ultra takes off.
@@neilmcguinness4422 May i ask you if you are talking about using pro mode to a full extent or just using the pre installed modes, set the focus manually and then regulate the exposure just at the focus circle? I learned to do the latter one if I have time for taking the shot and now think about if it is worth it, learning the pro mode?
@@a.k.2363 Indeed it is worth getting to know the Pro mode A.K. I refer to the pre installed modes in that many people only use these but that much better results can be obtained with these with a little tinkering within them. Many people are not aware that you don't only need to go in Pro mode to adjust the image on your view screen to get the picture you desire. Exposure lock should be something that more people are aware of. The camera on the S21 Ultra is a fantastic bit of kit that rewards anyone willing to explore it.

My old SONY XPERIA XZ2 from 2018 has super slowmotion 960 fps with 1080p, not one SAMSUNG GALAXY S.. serial has, what a disappointing.

That's up to you to decide, but the $300 price difference will likely be a big factor to consider.
