Protruding Wiring Box

I recently took on a project of hanging two pendant lights next to my shower and the first one went well, but the second one caused a problem because the existing wiring box was protruding beyond the sheetrock. The wiring box was preventing the new fixture from mounting flush with the ceiling. After searching unsuccessfully for a solution, I produced a hack to solve the problem which is illustrated in this video.
