its just that the WT auf pz IV. is so much better tier for tier than the grille. Considering the RHM and Auf line had very decent camo, it doesnt make sense that all of a sudden the Grille drops to HT camo.....
I have 3 marked this for many many many accounts. Likely 10+ times, the unfortunate truth of this tank is Running B.turbo/rammer/B.Lnes allows it to fulfill the role it was supposed to be, a zippy TD with the most accurate 750 alpha gun, and it will never be more than that. I ran aiming, and while I managed to hit more, it didn't mean I penned more. So then you load premium, and you hit tanks and hope the pen is enough. Or you play it like a mid field Leo, and don't worry about the accuracy hurting the tank, the LNES and turbo allow it to actually use fucking bushes, which is the biggest issue I have with the Grille overall, it's not the gun missing 550m shots, it's not the mobility, it's the second you move the whole fucking team finds out, everything at tier ten has 470-ish view range, and 13% camo while moving basically means you are forced go play outside of viewrange, most maps don't give reliable farming locations beyond 445m, so for me, the holy trinity became LNES, Turbo, rammer. But I also don't play the Leo like a redline sniper either, I play it as mid field aggro. Regardless of my Hate, after a few different accounts and me evaluating the tank based off my loadout. Having a 89% hit rate is good enough to average 3.8k a game, but 80% of those shots are all 445m shots, not redline shots.
The only 2 tier 10 tech tree td's with worse camo are the FV4005 and the JG. PZ. E100. It's beaten by the stealth machines like the Badger, Minotauro and the T110E3!
WT auf pz. IV can reverse into a position and shoot over its backside and when detected use forward speed to escape. With grille you cannot do that. @@evobsm2328
WT auf Pz IV is still much better, tier for tier, Grille has some nice parts but I would honestly just rather have the Wt auf Pz IV If they could just buff the camo and give it a 90 degree gun arc to the left and right, it'd would a much better tank!
TBH I still enjoy the Grille, it has better mobility, better alpha, better gun depression, though the turret is not fully rotating. I can usually manage with bad camo, the Skorpion does not have much better camo, and usually nobody is complaining about it. The Borsig is a real slug, the Wt. Pz. IV is still slow, so repositioning is a challenge with those tanks.
Rng is the gift that never stops giving,... it doesn't matter how accurate the gun the game will take the greatest of pleasure in occasionallly launching your shell into a different map. 😂
WG has reiterated several times how managing the game mechanics requires many resources, if I had to simplify the parameter that defines the camo rating I would use height. To a potential observer on the ground, a thin tower is much more visible than a giant low-profile bunker, similarly a T95 has better camo than a Skorpion. Of course WG then plays with the parameters to its liking for reasons of tanks balance.

I think the main appeal for this tank getting played in first place isnt the performance it promises but more so the gimmicky gun/platform and unique look IMO, it deserves a buff so it gets picked by players who desire performance aspect play style
What you forgot to mention about the grille in both videos, is why the gun misses so frequently, despite having such good base dispersion. For those who dont know, the grille 15's turret traverse dispersion, is 0.40. That is horrendous. You move the gun even a little bit, and it blooms out massively. Why WG decided that this and a terrible camo was the best way to balance it, idk. Even the shitbarn has a better turret traverse dispersion at 0.30.
Actually I think you were right the first time, your video finally convinced me to sell it! Collecting dust in the garage as I was too scared to use it! Tier 9 is better in every way other than flat speed. Once spotted and its death. Grille camo needs improvement a LOT! and never understood open top TD having worse VR than enclosed vehicles. Tbh a lot does not make sense in this game.. Think you were clutching a bit mate. Grille win rates are low for a reason. :)
If you thought the Grille 15 gun was patchy, the new super accurate KJPZ T111 Jager loot-box liability, takes it to a whole new level. No view range, long aim time, very poor dispersion after movement, and then it will bounce randomly. And you will get out-spotted by everything. The field mods may improve it, but no-one is likely to play it long enough to get any, and you will not throw free xp at it. Oh and it has a unique 3 man crew so even the Projekt 07 HK crew will not fit!
Because people snipe in it so they often aim for somewhat small targets. It really is just as accurate as the strv103b when aimed in but you shoot more often compared to a grille. A miss in a grille hurts way more then a miss in the strv.
Yeah strv miss the shots but it reload faster and have good camo but grilla on other have have very bad camo and long reload time grill is so bad even in good matchmaking Still grilla is my first tank helped me reach 7000 damage
Im just a JGPZ E 100 enjoyer and it BAFFLES me when i get a tier 8 mm on a city map and WG is like yes lets put 2 tier 10s on each team, a TD and an Arty. Then WG is like, it makes sense that one TD is a Jageroo on a city map while the other is a GRILLE LMAO Assault TD has: a LOT of hp, RELIABLE armor and in my case, A BIG FUCKING GUN I feel bad for Grille because this has happened more than once in my history. Grille cant push if its in a +2mm, Jageroo can.
The tier 9 waffel is just better. Thats the problem. Also the strv 103b is just better. Its stealthy fast lazer accurate sniper with some armor to ho with it and with turbo it can play agressively on some matches like almost a medium tank. It can spot like a light tank. While grille is well a meatball for he shells.
Camo depends a lot on the height of the tank. The grille is taller than jagtiger so thats why the camo is worse. Edit::: i wrote this before you said it lol
I will always hate this tank for the fact that wg stole the wt e100 from my garage and replaced it with this garbage. I quit playing for 2 years because of it. I’m still mad and the wt event only rubs it in my face every year.

I still don't see a single reason why you would pick it over the Strv. The only thing it has is more alpha damage. Meanwhile the Strv can even play aggressively on certain maps and against lower tiers due to it's stupid armour layout. It's also has much better camo and a more reliable gun imo.
you can not buff the camo it is taller the the JT. Side profile is meaningless. that like saying a wide person is easier to see then a tall person in a crowd. As to the tank if you loadout all other tanks out to the same pimp out version. it still make grille the worst compared to the others. If you have to pimp it out to make it OK that BAD.

I hate this tank with a passion. I really underestimated the camo nerf in this tank long ago, and I still bought it. Lo and behold, it's pure sht. How come, after grinding the whole line, and playing the sniper role they intend to be, I will be rewarded with this piece of garbage in the end? It doesn't make sense. It's so damn hard to play here in Asia server, esp in the current Intuition meta. Regular pen, accuracy, camo - everything that a sniper TD should be good at, suck. For every positive-reviewed Grille 15 vids I see out there, I will always put a comment spitting real facts, hoping I'll save someone from grinding this abomination of regret. Get other sniper tanks, like Strv, heck, I'll even recommend Leopard than this pure sht. Nah just kiddin I won't do the former, but still...
The Strv 103B, a pure sniper? You can work ridgelines at medium range without giving the enemy a chance to ever pen you. I have seen many excellent Strv-players playing highly aggressively. You can NEVER do that with the Grille 15.

Seems like I'm the only one who likes Grille more than WT. auf PZ. IV. It might be due to my playstyle but I was kinda dissapointed with WT after maxing him. It's kinda too slow and gun depression really is depressive. It's not flexible enough and gun is kinda "meh". Grille, on the other hand, isn't as trollish as everyone says and it's way more flexible, even without fully rotateable turret. Atleast for me..
I dont get it why people play tier 10 and then go afk. Also that other Grille 15 played like a total muppet and made zero dmg. Maybe just camp in the bush in the middle and wait for the Jagdpanzer would be better but could be draw then. Enemy team didnt deserve the win imo.

My comment on that last video was along the lines of I cannot trust you to provide accurate info on the gameplay. It's not so much what you said about the tank but what you did in the video. Things like being under 400m from a light tank while not in cover and then complained that the Grille 15 gets spotted too easily. That is the the exact meme where you stick a pipe in the front wheel of your moving bicycle. That video came across as you deliberately played like a tomato to make the Grille 15 look like the worst tank in the game to fit a narrative. Not Kool man. This video here you actually tried to play the tank to mitigate it's weaknesses and notified the viewers of that. Now that is informative and entertaining. Lets re-sub, watch some more of your videos then and see how things go. You have a good UA-cam personality at least. Grille needs another buff after its camo buff, it needs a fully traversable turret like the WT auf pz. IV.

I quite like it. I it’s my favourite tier 10 I’ve got, but that’s probably because I haven’t figured out how to play the others yet.
I personally think it's the worst Teir 10 that is popular to play. It's very common to see this tank in a match and it is rarely impactful.
Along with fv4005. Although that one can occasionally get a big hit and change the momentum

My issue with this tank is it could be buffed 5 different ways and still would not be OP, yet the game is full of OP tanks that go unnerfed.

Until they change the ammo I don’t think the grille will be good. Needs APCR standard rounds and better gold pen to be reasonably competitive
