Neem oil can cook your plants. Gotta be careful using it. Your videos are always so good

I use neem seed meal as a fertilizer and top dressing and it has the same effect - it keeps the chewing insects from eating the plants. I use it when I plant most of my seedlings, but especially with the brassica plants - kale, collards, cabbage, etc.

I think you can use a soap spray to kill aphids. Neem shouldn't be used around flowers while bees are active. I agree with another commenter, plant more flowers like marigolds with your vegetables. If you like tea, plant lemon verbena. Also mint (in a container). You'll have a great time making your own herbal teas! ❤️ Squeak!

I believe your birds are Carolina Wrens...sweet little bird. You are kind to leave the garage open. Sorry to hear issues with garden plants. Your fig plantation is multiplying nicely, and you will have bumper crop this year.

You need flowers too…and herbs. They bring in pollinators and birds. Companion plant them with your veggies. Zinnias, calendula, thyme, basil, marigolds, alyssum, nasturtiums. Plant garlic randomly throughout.

Your garden looks so good as always! Your harvest is amazing! I would suggest to look at roots of your dying plant. Last year one of my garden beds got some kind of worms - big, white. So several tomato plants were gone. I figured what really happened this April, when I “fluffed “ a soil. Dugout lot after them, thanks to google - figured out what is it and how to solve this problem. Now this garden bed has new soil and many cloves of garlic was planted between tomato plants ..))) But I really hope that your garden doesn’t have any of them))

Hey Bubblebeet, question, I Cant seem to grow corn in zone 8b, Ive tried your method, with paper towel & spray bottle, the seed germinates with a pretty good root start but when I actually put the seed in soil, it becomes this rubbery mass that never takes off. Not sire what im doing wrong. By the way, I too have a nest of baby birds on my front porch its very interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Oh the trials and tribulations of being a gardener ... would normal soapy water work over the neem or plain water?

I was wondering if you have had any problems with rats in the garden. We have rats and they are eating the tomatoes. Over the winter they ate almost all the kohlrabi and broccoli. Some of the cabbage too. We've tried everything we can think of to get them out of the garden. We need help, please. Any ideas?? Thanks.

they told me to make sure the plants were really hydrated before spraying neem oil on them (i've been using it on my citrus trees). also i got those white aphids on my tomato plant and was told that they attack plants that are struggling or in distress. i've moved my plant to a shadier spot and am keeping more hydrated and the aphids left. when i used neem oil on the tomato plant it seemed like it was feeding the aphids instead of killing them lol
