Hey, hey, hey. Y’all relax on Mark. He is just reporting what the weather data is showing him. Weather data changes by the minute, especially in Texas. Anybody that’s lived in Houston for any serious length of time knows you prepare every year for hurricanes and tropical storms, regardless of whether or not you luck out and don’t get them. I went through Harvey, Ike, Rita and Tropical Storm Allison. We were prepared for every single one of them. Gas up your cars, get a generator and enough fuel for a few days, and get non-perishable food and bottled water. Also, if you can, move out of the flood plains or move up to at least the second or third floor of the apartment complex.
Three days ago, the video was about the tropics being closed through August and "nothing crazy" forming during the period. Now, there is a 40% chance of development within the area that is "closed" for the month of July - only three days later.
If you read my comments in the last few community post, I did a somewhat in depth analysis on this claim. Although is he is correct as we will be heading into a break, it's just not gonna be as strong as anticipated and as long, probably lasting for like a week and a half.

This is bad... the ECMWF 12z run is showing a major hurricane in the carribean. (Thank you @josecanales for letting me know) And it's trekking through the Carribean possibly into the gulf as a strong major hurricane, and not north out to sea like it ensembles been showing. This could mean that the EPS 12z ensembles might show an even more western push. That might become the new trend.
We have been receiving rain here in Michigan often on and off and on that are ground doesn’t even get a chance to dry out so our soil is dark moist and moldy smelling! But I’m not gonna complain because sometimes it’s too dry and we need a lot of rain and so I just let things be what they are😅

The monsoon season in the US is honestly everywhere. Storm season this year so far has been unprecedented. What i have however noticed is that when the country is getting severe storms the tropics are calmed down some so, Mark was correct that the tropics were sorta quiet the past week. Even if everyone or the radar is right or wrong, objectivly speaking this weather this year is extremely unusual and way more unpredictable than ever. My guess is one word... Geoengineering. Call me wrong but look up Geoengineering everywhere, y'all wont be disappointed. God speed everyone, and be safe out there!

Mark, I understand all your analysis except the page when you are predicting future tropical outlooks. Its the one where it shows orange and red being bad but when it turns dark blue you said it looked like we had something big coming. Can you please explain this graph for us in one of your videos. I can't be the only one who doesn't get it. Maybe I am🤣 But I know you use that alot and I don't see any other weather people using it so it's hard for me to find info about it or understand what I'm looking at. But I sure would love to know because you use it extensively for predicting when we will have a break or its ramping up. Thanks for everything Mark. That map you are describing I believe would be the 200 hPa Velocity potential anomaly. It is a Hovmöller diagram which displays the flow velocity at the 200mb level. Think of it like this: The red colors indicate divergence, or sinking air, and the blue colors indicate convergence, rising air. If you look at the bottom, you'll notice a map going across the equator. If you look at left, you'll notice dates. If you look at the right, you'll notice the key. Where these anomalies are located above the map at the bottom is where they're located in real life. So, on June 28th, if there's a blue spot over the pacific, then there's rising air over that area. Hopefully this makes sense.
If you look closely at the bottom you can see the different parts of the world. Our region (United States) in that graph is more on the right side. If you look to the left of the graph you can see on what days the red and blue will land. If you see a lot of red then it means that’s bad for hurricanes to develop and they’re going to struggle a lot. If you see a lot of blue then that means that more hurricanes are more likely to develop because the atmosphere is more favorable in blue. Hope that helps with you understanding it a bit better

That Euro model shows a major taking three metro areas out! (South Florida, New Orleans, Houston.) Because these days hurricanes tend to be huge. And the ECMWS has a Cat 3 going right west of New Orleans on one of its tracks. 😧😨😰

I’m paying attention to how hot water are in Gulf of Mexico and northern Texas coast because it’s a long ways out before water get deeper in this area , I have a feeling there will be something pop in this area this Hurricane season and September is known as the bad month for Hurricanes in the area remember 1900 storm ,IKE as well and if IKE would have stayed the way it built up and hit Galveston then Island wouldn’t even be habitable today still , also talk about really nuts with the Island it’s where the CDC Tropical disease Lab is for USA if a monster storm hits we’ll say bye bye

Bring back the Aquanet. If anyone remembers that hairspray and other spray cans. If you look at the data sea surface temperatures has been on a steady rise because we tried to save the Ozone Layer. And now we are talking or our "great geniouses" are anyway for a buck or two I'm sure about geoengineering and cloud brightening. I played in a hairmetal band and used hairspray and when the little pump bottles came out it sucked. Just like the move from paper bags to plastic bags and saving the environment. Still the same amount of trees for mini macmansions being logged and the oceans are being killed. Now hemp and cloth bags that are reusable. No thanks. But this year will be bad for hurricanes. The waves coming off of Africa possibly building into some in July is not a good sign.

SC needs some rain..badly. But not in the form of any hurricanes. Been awhile since we have had any major hurricanes, 1989 Hugo, but our luck can’t last forever. Hope this “active” season, all are fish storms.
