@@henryswarbrick Same surname! Just stumbled across this, wanting to study at Brookes next year and would like to get into competitive rowing. Cheers man.
So I'm confused as to how this system works, you're training for the national team but you're still getting coached by the OBUBC coach? Will you be racing with them when sprint racing time comes around or won't you because you already won the Lady's Plate?
mate, my Wallingford j17 pair vs your beast one. we'd whip out 50 lengths in the first 3 strokes on you easy boy! Oh and you race in an empacher? mate our wintech international will take you anyday. No need to call bow ball cause I'll be gone
Nick Mascoli When you’re training at this level you do a huge amount of work around this; lots of stretching and core work helps to minimalise soreness.
unless you are incredibly talented you need to train more/harder to get a seat in an international boat. 18k / pieces weights (upper) / 30min r20 erg 18-20k erg / 70min bike / some easy instructor work weights (lower) / 12k 18-20k erg / 70min bike 18k erg / weights (upper) 18k / 12k with pieces total: 60k rowing 64-68k erg (+ergfit instructor) 140min bike +3 times weights

Love Gibbos fresh trim
When do you guys start moving into eights? Or will you focus on smaller boats for the time being?
Focusing on the smaller boats in the meantime! Pairs are also good for improving efficiency in the eight
why are your oars all the colors of the French team?

How are you not insanely sore after each day of training?
Nick Mascoli when you train like this every week your body gets used to it and doesn’t get so sore anymore

Also, it is sore
Fresh Vid m8. James and Harry gonna get jealous soon😂. Wondered if u do any specific core work? Or is rdls and squats etc enough?
Thanks bud! Core 3-4 times a week. Combination of static and active core such as plank holds, crunches and glute work!

how far over 9k do you get on your 30'?
When you say 18k... is that 18k straight? Or is it broken up into segments that equate to 18k?
Depends how I'm feeling on the day! Usually straight through but sometimes 2x9ks or 3x6s
sweaty creps
When you do 18k ergos, do you do it in one hit or break it up (like 3x6k, 2x8k etc.)?
Edward Piercy usually straight through or sometimes 3x6's
