Just bought one of these from a buddy. Can' wait to get my hands on it. Watching your videos has renewed my interest in oil stones. Your English is fine btw. Thanks for sharing!
Your english is probably much better than you think - I know many people from countries that speak only english that have a much harder time with the language than you do! Thanks for posting this video.
Use a sidewalk or a cinder block. Also, the back of a ceramic tile, works well. You just need one that is large enough to accommodate your stone. Finally, Lowe's, Home Depot, and many hardware stores, carry "rubbing bricks". They are used to remove concrete and to rub it flat. They are very similar to the Naniwa flattening stones, and they are wicked cheap (less than $10). Hope that helps :)
God that is so satisfying. Off of such a low grit stone and NO stropping and it is still cutting super clean. I want a Crystolon so bad lol
Nice video Stefan. And your english is perfectly fine!

Nice video.....Your English is great!
By the way, how do you like the Norton stones (Crystolon and India) overall?
Is the swarf pure steel or does the stone just release abrasive?
please show a cheap way to flatten stones
