How should police officers cope with trauma? | curiousKC

A community member asked our curiousKC initiative, “Is it possible for police officers to have two years on and two years off to release tension?”
We talked to about the question with KCPD Officer Michael Bowen, who explored the support options that the police department offers after experiencing personal trauma.

Pharmaceutical companies first priority is money and their second priority is intelligence so it's best to stay as sober as possible considering the stress and anxiety of your positions never walk alone. If you're out for surgery or on heavy meds psychiatric or other be sure you have someone you trust covering you in the line of duty.

Fishing is violence towards aquatic animals. Violence is never truly soothing even if we don't feel empathy for the killed ones.

Hunting/fishing generally shouldn't be glorified. Just a means to put food on the table for friends or family.
There's many cultures that thank the animals and even plants for providing the nourishment
