2023 Santa Clara Vanguard Singing Send in the Clowns

On December 12, 2022, the Santa Clara Vanguard announced their cessation of operation for the 2023 season due to financial strains that had reached a dire point for the organization at the time. Undoubtedly, this hiatus broke the hearts of anyone involved with the organization for any period of time, and especially affected those who were contracted/auditioning for the 2023 season.
Members were faced with the choice to either march elsewhere, or not march at all; a step which was incredibly difficult for many, and meant that they would be leaving their home without even the chance to say goodbye.
Here, those displaced members and alumni come back together to recognize that regardless of what uniform they wore that summer or what they spent that season doing, that they were still the Vanguard. Not just an organization, or even just a drum corps, but a family; one with a rich history and uniquely talented people from all walks of life, one that was still very much alive and well.
Undoubtedly a bittersweet reunion where one might think of what could have been, but one where they can sing together, as the Santa Clara Vanguard.
