I used to use 400D nylon fabric for making custom bags and other items. It wasn’t CORDURA but we discovered that the biggest limitation was sun exposure. UV eats nylon. For these applications, the items will last a very long time our testing showed failure only after prolonged, daily, all day exposure for a month or more. The first thing that failed was the nylon thread that we sewed our products with.
Great comment for us that think heavily about these fine minute details. I had was wondering if sun exposure would degrade nylon and other fabrics and by what degree. Your insight is helpful.
@@CalebSavant I'm getting mine with the cheap cross straps (the H straps were out of stock) and I'm going to try it as a chest rig before using it as a placard.
I was wondering how they would react to the IR spectrum, I would absolutely love to be able to afford one of their amazing USA made plate carriers or chest rigs!!! 💯
I feel like this video was made just for me. I left a snarky D-Bag comment is the previous video about coming from a commie county. I was very wrong. Good job guys. I always try and buy American. If not American a non commie country. When all else fails you sometimes have to buy from the big C. Y’all are great Americans.
You could tell this guy was a bit nervous but I get where he is coming from. The NIR is a big part of the battlefield today, but also in the future its gonna be huge. Its hard to find a decent nylon thats compliant.
That’s funny coincidence because I recently read how they grounded a bunch of our f-35s because some Chinese magnets were used instead of US manufactured magnets in some component. And as you said the components were supposed to be of US origin as per defense contract agreement.
while y'all are at it why don't you let Spiritus Systems to make a rig that us low income "poor's" can afford so those of us that are wives don't agree with our hobbies are not going to have a s__t fit over spending that kind of money for just a way to ergonomically effective and practical way to carry our magazines.
I don't get why manufacturers keep treating their business relations with government as if that's a positive thing that gives them some sort of prestige... The first word that comes to my mind when I learn someone is in business with government is "corruption".
To understand why that is important to them, you need to understand the history of the company. It's more about the relationship with the actual soldier wearing the gear than anything else.
This company is to hard to deal with both of them shipping from brownells stinks. Tried to oder straight from spirt couldn't take my card over the phone for two slings.
Honestly Spiritus Systems is really appealing and it’s always great to hear about the background of the materials and what goes into it thanks guys 👍

We use Cordura, and only use the best materials offered in the USA.
Funny enough, I just got the mk5 chassis after yesterday's video. I'm pretty stoked
Love my Mk5, I use it as a placard on my plate carrier.

I think most people didn’t know this much quality and manufacturing integrity went into their products
Lose the background music. Doesn’t need it. The topic and speaker are interesting enough on its own. The music is only a distraction/detraction
Great insight and explanation, thanks.

Very informative.

Didn't shave either.
THANKS
I can't wait until I get a thing 2 to run on on my carrier.
The tension 😳
Yep...
I like them just because they all made in the USA supporting American company where it is sold.

Lets hope they make them available in the european brownell web store!

@@brownells Good point that may apply to some companies. Not all of them, though.

Because you are a broke deadbeat that doesn't pay his bills.
