Here are the cutting instructions for this 12.5 inch unfinished block pattern:
Make 1 - 8.5 inch square string block
Colors
Cut 2 - 2 7/8 inch square for corners and cut once on diagonal
Low Volume
Cut 2 - 2 7/8 inch square for corners and cut once on diagonal
Cut 2 - 2.5 x 8.5 inch rectangles

I like the border effect it gives the string block. I think that it would make a great quilt to have each string block to have the same print similar to what you used in the rectangles with the same color for the half square triangles bordering each string block like you did with the red. Then vary the color of the triangle using a different primary color for each block. I hope that makes sense. I may just pull out some fabric and do that. Thanks for the inspiration.

Did you have that table altered to fit your Singer 301 A into? It looks different from the darker table you use in your other videos. I already have a lot of 8 1/2 inch crazy scrap pieced squares made; so, it shouldn't take me long to make some of these blocks. Another Project Linus quilt shouldn't take very long make now. Hello Brenda, what are you using for a foundation? I made several string quilts and used regular typing paper, what a mess I had. I am going to make more, I am going to try using used dryer sheets next time.

Please fix your volume. I have to turn my volume up to max and still have to strain to hear you. Most videos can be heard very well at 10, I have you at 100.
