Loretta, thanks so much for stopping by to visit and for the kind words regarding the stitching! JT thanks you for the compliment on his cooking as well. Happy Stitching this month of May! Dena
Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful stitching. Kringles - WOW! You have done some great masonry work! How wonderful of JT to cook for you and your friends - I love Chinese food and it all looked delicious. Thanks again Dena. Happy stitching.
Susan, thanks for visiting again. I have been an apprentice brick mason for sure. LOL. The Chinese, Japanese and Korean dishes were all so good. Then my son came back to visit with me this past weekend and cooked a Mexican lasagna for us and fish and chips. I have been spoiled! Dena
Dena it is such a pleasure to watch your videos, from your stitching to Cocoa and your boys it's a peaceful visit. I got a lot of stitching done while keeping you company.
Kankerdoodle B, thanks for visiting with Cocoa and me (and the boys) as well. I am so glad you got a lot of stitching accomplished while watching. Wishing you many more hours of stitching this month. Dena
So glad to be able to see so much amazing progress on Kringles and your other WIPS 😊 Happy to hear that Tom had a great hiking trip. Enjoy your stitching this week. Can't wait to see what prompts you achieve this week.
Jeannie, this week has been stellar! Three finishes in 3 days! That won't ever happen again most likely. LOL. Thank you for stopping by to visit with Cocoa and me. Happy Stitching! Dena
Hi Dena, you have certainly had a wonderful stitching time in April (where did that month go!) and some great progress. What a lovely community we have and it was so kind of people to offer to help with your frogging but I wasn't surprised that you got that naughty creature dealt with already. Your son's cooking looked amazing and cooking Chinese is no small undertaking, how kind he is. Sorry to hear your hubby's trip was cut short but so nice for him to join you and your son for his visit. Cocoa was so sweet exploring her neighbourhood whilst out on her walk. A lovely April wrap up, thank you for sharing with us and have a brilliant stitchy May, Teresa 🪡🧵♥
Teresa, thanks so much for spending some of your time with me as I wax on about my projects. I did feel that April was a great month of stitching and I am hopeful May will be also. (Spoiler alert, I have two finishes already)! Happy Stitching, Dena
I have enjoyed seeing your By the Bay stitching. I have not stitched any of their charts. You have inspired me to stitch one. I just made an order and decided on a small. I ordered Spring Cove. As always enjoy seeing you. Take care Dena.
Southern Stitcher, so glad you ordered a By the Bay. They are so easy to stitch with blocks of color and beautiful shades in their color palettes. I think you will be pleased with Spring Cove. Happy Stitching. Dena
Hi Dena, Seeing all your stitching projects brings me great joy and inspiration.. I am so happy to hear you are frog free again. I am also working on the Dimension 's x mas ornaments. Slow and steady wins the race on that one:) but they are beautiful. Happy stitching and pet hugs for Cocoa🐾❤
I am so delighted that my stitching projects bring you joy and even some inspiration. Thank you for the encouragement about the Dimension's xmas ornaments. I am about halfway through my 2nd one. They are beautiful aren't they? Dena
Lovely to see you again, Dena and your progress on so many of your beautiful projects! I’m really glad that you have been able to get that frogging done. I know I’ll have to be really careful on that border when I come to stitch it. Your son cooked you some amazing food. Seeing and hearing about it made me feel really hungry!!
Lynette thank you for stopping in for a visit again. Yes, it feels so good to be finished with the frogging! My son did cook some amazing food and then came to visit the next weekend and cooked amazing Mexican dishes. I'm so glad that is a hobby of his...cooking. I get the benefit of it. Dena
Great to see you and Cocoa Dena. So glad that you were able to frog all of that. Now when you pick it up, it's to stitch and not to frog. Congratulations on how far you've come on Kringles. It's looking beautiful. I'm loving all your WIPs. Thanks for sharing them with us. I can so relate when you mention your Zoom stitching sessions with friends. My friend Louise and I Zoom on Fridays and it's been wonderful. We started during the Pandemic and we're still going strong. We both look forward to it after a long week. I'm still concentrating on Dog Lessons and would love to finish it this month. Please tell your son that that food looked amazing. What a wonderful thing to do for you and your friends. Happy Stitching!
Kaylin, so glad you have a friend that you are still Zooming with each week. I so look forward to my Zoom stitching sessions! I'm crossing my fingers for you to finish Dog Lessons this month since that is your goal. YOU CAN DO IT! Cocoa sends her love. You are so right, my son did a wonderful thing to cook for me and my friends. It was a delightful dinner for all. Dena
Linda, the meal was epic! Loved every minute of it and the fact that JT wanted to come here and cook for us. Kringles is coming along nicely and I can't wait to stitch the room for May. Dena
Dena, I’m so happy that pesky frog has moved on and you have put him behind you! You got so much stitching done! I love that your hubby wants to get all spruced up for you and that it tickles you so. It is so evident the love you have for your family. With all the negativity we are bombarded with these days it is just so wonderful to hear the joy you always have to share. Your son sounds like an amazing cook! Does he do that for a living? If not, he seems like he surely could. I wish I was related to someone who had cooking as their creative outlet 😂. I think you and a few others may have inspired me to do some challenges next year. I’m not sure I am organized enough for that but it does sound like fun. I guess you never know until you try. Enjoy your stitching!
Debbie, you and me both are happy the frog has hopped along on down the road. Thanks for sharing that the love our family has for each other is evident. We are truly blessed to have each other. My son is not a professional chef. He just loves different foods and he experiments. Before he cooked for us that Friday night, he practiced on several dishes the week before and his roommates were the taste testers. They loved. it! LOL. My son is in healthcare as his career. Cooking is a hobby for him. So glad you are going to try some challenges. Start with one acrostic and see how you like creatively picking your projects to meet the prompts. I love it as I've said because it helps me make sure I touch the WIPs as I go along. happy Stitching. Dena
Your son sounds like an amazing chef; that meal he prepared for you and your friends looked absolutely divine. You've made so much progress on Kringles as well as your other pieces. Happy stitching! - TaMara
TaMara, so happy you are enjoying your May stitching. My son is an amazing cook and enjoys cooking for me. He makes me try new things (like the tofu). LOL. Happy Stitching. Dena
Congratulations on getting all your challenges completed so early. Your progress on Kringles is amazing and setting you up nicely for the next few months. xxx
Caroline, this morning I had a zoom stitching call and I stitched the inside outlines of all three of the rooms on the floor I am working on for Kringles. I have to switch to my May Monday stitch on Royal Games, but it was a great little bit of progress this morning while talking and stitching. Dena
Dena what a wonderful meal your son cooked for you and your friends!! It looked delicious.Your Kringles piece is really progressing. Until next time happy stitching. 😊
Hi Dena. It is so nice to hear from you and see your beautiful stitching. Kringles is looking more beautiful every time I see it. I still have not gotten all of my supplies so I can start it. Maybe for Christmas 2024. J. T. sure did prepare some fantastic looking oriental food! I have tried to make Chinese food twice. I think I better stick with my good old Appalachian comfort food and order Chinese takeout. I bet Cocoa was thrilled to pieces when her daddy got home. Until our next visit, I hope you are able to get in lots of stitching and the nasty frog stays away. I just had to frog an entire small egg from Eggs Ala Round from Glendon Place and it seemed like it took me forever last night. So you see, that darn frog is making its rounds. Take care.
Oh no Crystal, I promise I did not direct the frog to your house. I hope he has moved on away from there! I am with you, I good the southern comfort food and leave the Asian to JT. Dena
Frog frog go away don’t come any other day. I’m singing that song for you Dena! And I really enjoy your channel. I enjoy your projects and I enjoy your sweet nature and I enjoy Coco. He’s a cutie. Thank you for all your efforts.❤
C Fitzgerald, thank you so much for singing the frog away from here! Cocoa sends her love. I appreciate your kind words about the effort it takes to put a video up on UA-cam. It is my pleasure but it does take a minute as they say. Happy Stitching! Dena
Hi Dena., I was impressed to see the progress you made on Kringle, it is such a beautiful piece. It was nice of J T to make such a wonderful meal for your friends, it really looked yummy. Dena, I received that reply from that supposedly Dr. I found that weird, it was from one of your videos 5 years ago and was not stitching-related. I did not reply and flushed him. Well, I enjoyed seeing all of your gorgeous WIPS and progress. Happy stitching and have a wonderful week.💝🦮
Francine, no telling who that mysterious "dr" really was. Went I looked him up on Facebook to block him there were several by that same name. I blocked them all! LOL. Dena
Love your progress on Kringles - you are really inspiring my to pull mine out. So happy you could join us on Zoom over the weekend and I can’t wait for the Florida retreat!! ❤❤ Get your hugging arms ready!
Carolyn, I am so excited to meet you in Florida! I was so happy I was able to join in the Zoom on Saturday as well. Usually that day is a family day, but with Tommy having been on his hike (and was supposed to still be there), he said for me not to change any of my plans I had made thinking he would be gone. So I went ahead and did the Zoom call. He took Cocoa for a walk in the park. Kringles is coming along well so you should join in and put some stitches in yours! Dena
Hi Dena Kringles is really coming along great and so cute. Glad you booted that frog out and I hope he stays away from you. Your son should be a chef that food looks amazing and you are the lucky one that gets to eat his creations. Coco looks like she is enjoying the nice weather. Happy stitching
Linda, thanks so much for the lovely feedback on Kringles. I am glad that frog is gone for awhile. I am the lucky one to get to eat JT's creations. Happy Stitching to you as well. Dena
Good morning Dena, so glad you have the frogging put behind you. Your progress in this video on your projects are fantastic. You've had a great week. The meal your son made for you and your friends looked really delicious. Isn't it the best when our boys come home to visit us. I hope you have another wonderful week or so ahead before your next video/ visit with us.
Nickie, thanks so very much for visiting and for the kind words regarding my progress on my WIPs. This month has started off well with my first May Monday start so I'm looking forward to all the stitching. Dena
Great video. JT’s dinner looked delicious. I love Chinese food but rarely make it myself. I am very impressed with his skills making that meal. Hope you plan on taking a video of Cocoa and your husband when he arrives home. So happy you have frogged your projected. Now you can just stitch.
Vickie, my hubby got home so late, I didn't have my phone with me to video tape his homecoming with Cocoa. It was the usual spin, spin, spin and whine with delight. LOL. Happy Stitching here since the frogging has been accomplished. Dena
Dena love seeing your WIP's and love the Raggedy Ann (I do have the magazine for that and I too want to stitch that pattern) I have two Raggedy Ann and Andy in their red and green outfits and I have two large Raggedy Ann and Andy. When I lived in Denver my co-worker'd Mother made the two large dolls for me as a going away gift. I do have 3/5 patterns of Raggedy Ann and Andy patterns of doing one of them in July as a start (will see) I also have the Magazine showing Sandy Gore Evans with the animals and I will be stitching that maybe during sometime in July not sure yet but I love the pattern its so cute. Dena I have so many patterns I want to stitch them all. I know it must be a relief to get that frogging done on Let it Reign and to get back into stitching the pattern. I know it's frustrating and I have been there many times but in the end it is worth it. I am almost finishing my Father Christmas gnome that I sent to you this week just have the backstitching left to do and it will be my first May Monday start for this year. I will send you a picture when I get it done. Love seeing Coco and I know she will be excited to see her daddy come home and I know you too are looking forward to seeing your hubby. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Pat, I finished my Mr. Mittens yesterday, so now I get to have another new start on Monday, May 16th. I have to pick that one out yet. I have just received a new Raggedy Ann pattern in the mail that I ordered recently on sale for $.99. Yes 99 cents! It is really cute. I have to start another Raggedy Ann pattern for my friend Cheryl soon. Happy Stitching. Dena
Great progress. I was worried that you loose your stitching bug. I'm glad you frogged it already out. Great new start. Happy stitching and a good week (I know I'm always behind with flosstube😉)
Loved catching up!! We had a North Alabama Stitch Day yesterday and we were wondering if you could bring Kringles to the retreat so we can see it in person? We had a great time and we are looking forward to the retreat. You got SO much done!! I love your Halloween trio and the Christmas ornaments kit that your son gifted you. I got two smalls done yesterday so I am hoping to get them finished tomorrow after I visit Hobby Lobby to look for some finishing fabric. Happy stitching, Dena!!
Arlene, my hubby and I are driving so I could bring Kringles to the retreat. Thanks for asking about it. WOW, two smalls finished. you did great to get that much done at a stitching meet up! Dena
Sherry, sure wish I had enough spots to invite everyone! Thank you for such a lovely compliment on my videos. My son does spoil me. I think that is appropriate considering how much I spoil him. LOL. Dena
Hello Dena How is the frogging going? Each day I think about you as I stitch and hope you managed to crack the frogging. I admire you for being able to stitch when you have the frog hanging around. As always beautiful stitching and love Kringles. Happy stitching
So good to see you today. As usual I’m a day or two catching up on videos. I don’t know how you stitch so many large projects, but your stitching and progress are amazing. Your 13th Colony has really touched me. I bought all 3 charts in 2019 when I came back to stitching, and I still haven’t started them. I don’t know what’s holding me back. Maybe it’s that I need to decide on the fabric and count, all the flosses are in the project bag. But you really inspire me. Maybe I can get my stuff together to start in July. Can you tell me what the fabric is you’re using for 13th Colony?
Crafty Kat, my fabric was a gift from my friend Marysa. It is 32 count Lugana from Sweighert. Marysa hand dyed it to resemble a blue sky. I am loving 13th Colony with its big blocks of color. I hope you do start it in July. Dena
Love the stitching progress and wow your son is doing great. This is what he can eat,or just small amounts? With my baretts esophagus I am limited in any spice, nothing fried, no tomato, onion 😢 garlic. Nothing acid only bananas, cantaloupe and watermelon. No choc, ever which surprisingly I am fine with. I miss onions and tomato sauce.. wow he did great!
Cindy, he can eat any spice, but sugar really makes him sick. He has to really watch it and eat very small amounts. One small pack of M & M's will last him several days. He has to eat small amounts at a time. He eats tiny bits along the day. Three crackers is a snack for him. I would miss onions and tomato sauce! Dena
Hi Dena! I keep going back and forth in your videos to find which kind of glow in the dark braid you used for Sleepy Hollow! Is it the Petite Treasure Braid by Rainbow Gallery? I am getting ready to start this. I was able to get the same fabric as you. I can hardly wait to get started! Thank you for your help. My daughter is going to love this!
Betty, I used a Rainbow Gallery Glow in the Dark fiber. I bought it at a Needlework shop that sells Needlepoint fibers. I am so glad your daughter is going to love Sleepy Hollow! Dena
Hi Dena! How are you? We are finally coming out of the endless cold winter weather here in Wisconsin. It has just been dragging on and on! Question: What fabric and count did you use on your Strawberry Fields? I want to start it, but I'm not happy with the fabric suggestion or anything that I have on hand. I hope your eyes are continuing to do well! Leigh/AftonFarm
Charlene, I haven't had any problems because I use 10 inch side bars; however, if you feel you need more tension, I recommend using those straps with the suspender type clips on the end to stretch across the side bars and pull your sides taught. Dena
Loved it all. Thankyou so much for sharing those beautiful projects and your sweet fur baby, Coco. 😊
Rhonda, I appreciate the kind compliment, but for my stitching projects and for Cocoa! Dena
Lovely to see you Dena, as well as Cocoa…this segment was so FULL of your stitching…your amaze me…thank goodness your frogging is finished…congratulations…the brick laying is awesome…that certainly is a contender for completion this year…you are amazing…JT’s cooking looked so good…wishing you the best and happy stitching ❤❤

Hi Dena, you have certainly had a wonderful stitching time in April (where did that month go!) and some great progress. Congratulations Dena! Glad that’s done. No more frogging. 😊
Right Linda, no more frogging! Dena

I will send you a picture when I get it done. Love seeing Coco and I know she will be excited to see her daddy come home and I know you too are looking forward to seeing your hubby. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless
Pat
Pat, I finished my Mr. Mittens yesterday, so now I get to have another new start on Monday, May 16th. I have to pick that one out yet. I have just received a new Raggedy Ann pattern in the mail that I ordered recently on sale for $.99. Yes 99 cents! It is really cute. I have to start another Raggedy Ann pattern for my friend Cheryl soon. Happy Stitching. Dena
You’re blessed to have a talented son, my mouth is watering.
Linda, I wish I could gift you some of his dishes. I really enjoyed the evening. Dena
I enjoyed seeing you on zoom with Carolyn and now on this video. Your son looks like he has quite the talent for cooking.
thanks Ann! I so enjoyed the Zoom meeting. I appreciate the warm welcome. My son does enjoy his hobby of cooking. And I do too! LOL. Dena
Great progress. I was worried that you loose your stitching bug. I'm glad you frogged it already out. Great new start. Happy stitching and a good week (I know I'm always behind with flosstube😉)
Nina, it was good to get the frogging done as I have Let Love Reign for prompts for this month. That will make me pick it back up. Dena
Love your I am a needle smith beautiful colors.
Linda, I finished her today! You will see that on my next video. Dena
The frog has left the building ,away from let love reign! Hooray!
Yes, I had to evict him! I hope he does not find his way to anyone else's projects! Dena
Great progress! 🦋🌻
Thanks Daniela! I appreciate your stopping by to visit. Happy Stitching. Dena
You are doing amazing on Kringles😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks Holly! I am scheduled to stitch another room this month. Dena
Dena
I just love all your videos. I’m so disappointed I don’t get invited to you Chinese dinner. Your son spoils you. 😘
Neil, as you saw, the frogging is done. YAY! Now to move onto forward stitching on it next time around. Dena
Another great video!
Thanks Dee! Let's stitch again together soon. Dena
Dena
New name for you! The prompt queen!
Cindy, LOL, that is funny. I do enjoy meeting a prompt! I think it is a way I measure progress really. Makes me feel accomplished. Dena
Bravo the frogging is done
Thanks you!
Leigh, I know it was 32 count Lugana, but I will have to look up the color. Dena
❤❤❤
Thanks Ines for visiting again. Happy Stitching to you this month of May. Dena
Your presence is so calm and peaceful. Thank you for that. I love your projects!
May I ask what frame you are using for the summer quilt project?
It is a Rolaframe brand frame. I love that brand. Dena
That's a lot of Brick!!!
Loads of brick!!! Yes! So happy with it though. It looks so clean and neat. Dena
How do you keep the center of your fabric taut in the Rolaframe?
Charlene, I haven't had any problems because I use 10 inch side bars; however, if you feel you need more tension, I recommend using those straps with the suspender type clips on the end to stretch across the side bars and pull your sides taught. Dena

Thanks for visiting Jean! Happy Stitching. Dena

Thanks so very much! I am so happy the frogging is over for me as well. Hope you are having a great month of stitching so far. Dena
