    Looking great, and quite a bit of forward progress. Starting to enclose the spaces is a real milestone.

      Yes, it's our goal to get the boat sealed up before the rainy season.

    Great progress folks, all those big panels come together pretty quickly 👍

      Yes they do, and progress will seem to go swiftly for awhile... then we'll get to fairing all this and that will be... challenging. :)

      Yeah, the assembly of big parts goes fast, but fairing and sanding it all is coming!

    Had to say how impressed I am. I watch (and like) every episode and initially I thought the task was too overwhelming for a couple and loyal friend to achieve, even with occasional helpers. But you guys are industrious and persistent and inventive. It’s been a pleasure to watch so far and I wish you every success. It’s starting to look huge. I watch MJ Sailing too and I hope the fairing doesn’t bog you down (see what I did there? 😁) like it has them on occasion. In any case, thanks for sharing all this…. I do enjoy watching you progress and can’t wait to see you splash.

      Thanks for the kind words, I've been called worse than industrious, persistent and inventive. :)

    Great progress; lots of things done, amazing!
    One recommendation for the doors that will give you access to the stern cabin (electric motor compartment), instead of making clamshell doors, how about you make them in a accordion/folding style, that way you don’t have to put a center support and you don’t have to open them all the way to get access to that compartment.

      It's a possibility, which we will consider, thanks!

    I’m hauled out in a boat yard now and jealous of all of the cats here because of the nice covered work space they have under their boats. Not possible for you at this stage, but when you do eventually haul out someday, you’ll be loving that. Hopefully, it will be several thousand miles from California 👍

    Looks fantastic! I've been watching you guys since a few months after you started. I went back and watched all the previous videos and now watching you on Saturday morning is my routine. I'm a builder of all things, Master Carpenter on two different levels, a machinist, and a Registered Honda Tech. While I have no Marine experience, I think you guys are doing a fantastic job! I always dreamt of sailing the seven seas like Sinbad. LOL

      You gotta place the algorithm game... Ask people for advice and/or opinions to boost more comments... And get better placement... And more views

    Surprised that Schionning doesn’t supply a sequence of operations for you as they have much building experience.

    I see MJ Sailing's interior decks didn't stay flat. They started out flat, but aren't flat anymore. You have a different construction than they used. Is that enough to keep those surfaces in the correct shape?

    • @SailingSVLynx
      @SailingSVLynx  3 місяці тому

      The bridgedeck structure is incredibly solid, so yes. As for in the hulls, there is plenty of support so the soles should be fine.

    You need a time lapse camera from above up high! It’s hard to see what’s going on . Need a big picture !
