Two weeks ago our youngest child moved out and into university, 3 hours away. It was the first time in 26 years Dave and I had been alone together since having our 3 kids. The first night we bbqed a single tbone steak and had salad with it. Our rubbish bins were put out for collection this week, with hardly anything in them. When they were small I missed them as soon as they were out of sight, but I always encouraged their independence. Azalea seemed to have enjoyed being in daycare while you were skiing, she was so relaxed, she fell asleep. A strong sign of her inner confidence and happiness. Azalea also understands the concept of holiday, staying somewhere else and doing different things for a while then going home again. When you asked her if she wanted to go back to the swamp, it really clicked with her, that she was going back home again. She is a very bright child.
I love how Azalea says Marshmallow with Mom's accent. So cute.
Baby Zay has such a free spirit because of her parents and how y’all let her be herself and have her own time and be herself it’s amazing
Little Nugget is amazing she is a very smart little girl and l love that she likes to be involved with everything they do.
I looooooooove when see goes out and feeds the chicken's with Juby.
Omg I love listening to Azalea laugh...made me smile. Record that and bottle it for years to come. I wish I had so I could remind my 18 year old son what he sounded like with innocent happiness. Our legacy is our beautiful children. Many blessings

There's an old episode of Little House in the Prairie where Ma & Pa have saved enough money and the kids are old enough to hold down the fort while their parents go on a little trip...and all Ma can think of is her kids and they cut the trip short and head back home :) Yeah, I think the force is strong in parents of little ones.

I live right by Asheville near the Blue Ridge Parkway! I remember being around Azalea’s age and going to Grandfather Mountain and on the bridge (which terrified me! 😂) with my parents too! She’s going to have such amazing memories with such sweet parents as you!

Hey guys! 🚍 Been a while since I've commented. Never missed a video tho and this is one of my faves. Seeing u back out in the world doing so many activities was great. I can see the twinkle back in your eyes.😉 Good to see Juby out of her funk she was in a couple of months back. This winter has been hard on us all I think. Between COVID lockdowns, missing socializing with others and the harsh winters that are upon so many...well, it just sucks honestly! I have literally been here since your very 1st video. It is so lovely and inspiring to see the growth of your selves and watching u turn your lifestyle into sustainable businesses. It has been exciting to watch! I'm so very happy for u all...but I always knew it would happen. U should be getting way more views IMHO, but it will come...of this I'm sure! 🙌🏼 Don't know who's doing the editing these days, but you've really stepped up your game. Cinematic drone shots and choice of music is on point! 👍 Zay is growing so fast and such a joy to watch. Listening to her talk, have full conversations is so cute! You are so connected and engaging w/her, she will probably be much more mature than other kids her age. I notice how secure and trusting she is w/you, not afraid to try ANYTHING! Other kids her age would be terrified or clingy zipping down that hill on an innertube. She has such a free spirit and is always engaged in some kind of activity...feeding chickens, chores, outdoor adventures, traveling, hiking, etc...Beautiful to watch really. 💕 Her "Hey Babe" near the end cracked me up! Will definitely check out the Bee podcast as I've always been asking for more info on this. Interesting stuff! Glad u decided to do a hardcopy as well as an E-cookbook as well. Pictures looked very professional. Looking forward to your road trips abroad, but what made u choose Iceland?? Will definitely be an adventure and I'm all about that travel life. Can't wait til this Winter is over and COVID goes back where it came from so I can get back out there on the road myself. Always loved NC and thought it would be a lovely place to live. Maybe I'll come and check it out and u can tell me where all the hot spots are. I'd love to take u all out to lunch/dinner someday. This social media thing is so strange how it can take complete strangers from all over the World and bring like-minded individuals together. Even tho u don't know us at all...we (I) feel so connected to your little family, watching your child grow up and see u all change, grow and achieve your life goals. It's amazing really and I'm thankful/appreciative that u feel so free to share. It has helped me through some very rough times as I've lost all my family/friends over the last 10 years. Watching u gives me hope, encouragement and makes me excited for whatever my new life will become and excited for all the new relationships I hope to have along the way.
