Start out on an island with a basic rod. Progress into a radar-wielding master fisher-cat scouring the sea for the biggest and baddest fish. Each fish has unique behaviors that you will learn to exploit as you tailor your arsenal of fishing rods to suit your style of play. Mrrrow!

fun fact: that is why court cases in England are named “R v [defendant]”, as the R stands for either Regina or Rex, depending on if we have a queen or a king at the time of the case

The shaku can't be caught traditionally, to catch it, drop a lot line through the dragon's den and accompany it down, the shaku will wake up and bite your lure, follow the line back up then grab it when it lets go of your line to bring it into your boat
to catch the magmer you need to have a glacierfish on your hook and you need to kite the magmer with it until the magmer cools down.
Hi blitz there is a secret fish you can get. It hangs around with the tim’s, around the silo. Just have no radar, minimap and lightbulb. Make sure to have your massive hook + large bait too!

For anyone wondering "problematicus" aka a leedsycthyus which is the biggest fish in history, being so big it actually outsized and outweighed the megalodon.
Yes it's not a whale but it's still very big
It's unclarified on how large Leedsicthys actually was, so that isn't confirmed. The constant contention of it's size and dimensions is actually what dubbed it the name "Problematicus".

Hey there's a secret fish in the game. you can't seem in the map but you only see two fish moving one at the front one at the back you can't see him with lights. when you see a glowing white fish that's him
