Those "Minecraft-style barriers" are, in fact, basalt columns! They naturally form into those hexagon shapes and they're one of my favorite geological objects.
So cool honestly, never seen them in person but they look awesome, Plus the structures they make look so alien with their hexagonal shape!

This really is an upgrade from those other “runner” mobile games. The fact that there’s no road and you can go in any direction makes it feel less railroaded.

The Greek (not Roman) "Thing" was the Acropolis. One of the most intact ancient Greek ruins, though it had been rebuilt repeatedly. And those hexagonal land barriers likely represented the Giant's Causeway. A volcanic basalt formation. Both well worth diving down a Wikipedia rabbit hole for.

If you would actually get all the boats on each lvl you would have been getting further from the start. But you pass so many boats that would have increased your size.

I hate the Earth feels bad she shouldn't even I got fooled by Dark Sun just now like I legitimately thought it was Sun. And I was able to tell when it was Eclipse when that was the major problem of the show and when it was Goliath when he was pretending to be solar. And I was able to tell that it was Goliath instantly. Well at least able to tell that it wasn't solar.
This game had Gray's name all ove it... But the fact that he didn't play until he consistently destroyed everything was a little disappointing.

*Day 162 of asking... Challenge for Gray: Try and complete a challenge with no checkpoints that take 9 hours to complete. The twist is that the board disappears after you touch it, and in order to reset it, you need to restart the board
(before anyone complains... Yes, there will be parts of the board where Gray can have a break, and yes, there will be a teleporter at the end, where Gray has 2 chances to get the correct road path correct (Which won't despawn) if he fails at getting the correct path correct then he just need to restart the map.
AND... yes, it is possible, and what I mean by two hours is that no matter what difficult board he plays, would probably take 2 hours, but Zach just edits out most of it, so it's suitable for a short yet entertaining clip)
Yes, there will be a 10 second timer before the board slowly disappears and there will be parts of the board that won't disappear and there will be a script at the end where it teleports Gray to the beginning and resets the board, and there'll be 3 teleporters, he'll have to guess correctly, one crashes his game, one forces his game to force restart, and the final teleporter gets him the win.
(Just kidding, all teleporters are guaranteed to get him the win, there will be a text saying there's one teleporter that works)*
