Always appreciate your Train Show videos as it’s good to have some context of what’s going on with each layout. Well filmed too. One tiny criticism: sometimes your quiet commentary was hard to hear above the background noise. However, full credit for editing and releasing this so soon after the event. Thank you.
Appreciate the criticism, I have a microphone but he behaves differently depending on the acoustics of the room when I get closer to it when I edited the video in the garage it adds an echo so I have sit back a bit, but obviously I need to adjust a setting on the mic. Thanks for watching
Among the bulk of "silent" expo channels, the small amounts of narrative and the subtle musical nuances serve as a distinctive and entertaining trade. 💪🙂
Thank you, I started narrating after taking my boy to a few shows and he’d talk all over the footage and people liked the narration so I’ve carried on ever since
Yes, I have to agree with Will A steady hand and interesting commentary that makes your videos the only exhibition videos I can watch to the end. Great effort, thank you.
East Dock - its not a Prairie! A Prairie is 2-6-2. Its a much more useful 56xx. Nice video. Gutted I couldnt make it this year, but the "industrial action" wouldve stopped me visiting (had I not been busy elsewhere) - bolshy Signallers lol
I was just testing the theory that all great western locos look the same 🫠 you passed the test. It was a good show shame you couldn’t make it, I’m pretty certain that whoever in RMT that’s picking these strikes dates is just trying to get the day off to go to these shows can’t be a coincidence that I’ve been to 3 this year all on strike dates 😆
Fair enough although when I edited these videos I feel the dead air needs filling when I’m not putting a commentary to the video as it doesn’t feel like it flows right, but I will take your comment on board 👍
"The Yard" and "Gare de Brindille" are far and away the best on show there. Something different going on. I don't understand the love for Pete W's layout, the ballast looks abysmal, general scenery is awful. The rest were the usual badly finished backscenes, tunnel mouths, 280 mph round the curve stuff. I'm pleased Charlie won the youtube 2022 prize....Sams Trains was my first choice, you, my second.
The yard certainly was entertaining I think that’s where small layouts have the advantage at these shows they have to be more of performance than perhaps what tail chasers need to be. Thanks for the support maybe next year I’ll be in the nominations 😆 Bit Charlie was certainly well deserving of the award
Great video, including right to the end. Pete W layouts are a class act. Thank you so much.
Thanks Matt great to know you stuck to the end 👍
"No I haven't heard of him either" had me howling! another great job James!
I think he was the guy who invented rick rolling. Cheers for watching

Thank you Steve it’s great to know you appreciate my efforts
As every a very interesting video, sadly I missed this show but your hard work made up for it, thank you.
No problem glad you enjoyed the video
Great video and commentary. Your effort in putting this together is - as ever - much appreciated.
No problem Andrew if people like yourself appreciate it then it’s worth while doing 👍
Great upload again WS, have been looking for this one, much appreciated.
No worries Ken glad you enjoyed
Hello WS, wonderful video, thank you. Are or were you a Signalman? If so where please? Thank you. P : )
Thanks Peter, I don’t know what gave it away but yes I am a signalman at Thames Valley

Nice work, though could I put in a vote for leaving out the music - much rather just hear the layouts!

The musical bursts are a trademark! Decent music too.
@@user-gp3bx5sb3c Matter of opinion at best.
Fair enough *thumb up*
@:10:44 these trains are similar to the Australian XPT
I believe the XPT was based on their design

No class 700’s, 319’s, or 377’s anywhere for me to drive
Plenty of 319s on the stalls to buy 😆
Not 002 though 😢
