- I was hoping some day I could have a chance to hear a 10/12 port Allertor up-close and here it is. It was loud but I believe the common 9/12 ports are a slight louder. Anyways, I had to tilt this video a bit to make it look more straight. Also, I thought they test at 11AM but I was told they changed it to 12PM. It's NOT official if it is now 12 instead of 11 but at least for this day, it was. The paint also appears to be chipping away now.
Awesome Video Dan! I wasn't expecting you to come here so soon lol. I would recommend checking out one of the 10/12 Allertors that run on 480V at somepoint if you get the chance.
I will be fixing the paint peeling problem this summer
@EOWS 812's SIREN PRODUCTIONS my brother painted it. Must have had some oil on the metal so the paint didn't stick very well
Stunning paint job! 🔊😍
Thanks for recording my Allertor!!
You did a great job with it!
Nice! Never knew you would go to that part of wisconsin for a siren
That's great it was restored, nice video!
Awesome! I need to check this out sometime!
I need to see this one day.
I wasn't expecting you to be in this area
Nice video!
Extremely cool
I actually believe these are louder than the 9/12s. I've heard 1 of each of the 3 Allertor port ratios, and from my experience, the 10/12 (Cedar Falls) was definitely the loudest. I've also heard a lot of other people who have experience with 10/12 Allertors say they're louder. If I had to guess why, it might be because the 10/12s have tighter tolerances. I saw Jeb mention on the ARS back in 2012 that his 10/12 Mobil Directo had the tightest tolerances he had ever seen on any siren at the time. If you ever get the chance, you should check out Cedar Falls or Emmetsburg, those are insanely loud. Anyways, enough of me rambling lol. Awesome video Dan!
I've only heard 8/12 and 9/12. The 8/12 I was at wasn't loud at all, but I'm blaming that on it being reverse wired. I would love to hear a 10/12 some day.
Awesome
They test at noon during the winter months.
Super awesome!👌
Nice!
Sweet!
Imagine hooking a 10/12 port alerter up to a 1000T blower!!!!!!!
Am I the only person who thinks the later allertors should've been 10/12 instead of 9/12?
No I think the same
Aca allertor 2t22
