    I watched this after I nearly ruined my entire Impulsor trying to magnetize it on my own haha. The Ironhail gun and the side rocket launchers both got trashed, and I spent more time cleaning up the awful job I did with milliput to hold magnets in than I did assembling the model
    If I get another one later down the line I'll be sure to look this video up again, you made it so much simpler and more effective than I tried to do 😅

    This was amazing. Thank you for listing magnet sizes! I appreciate it so much

    Its nice to see you were able to superglue the magnets when they are together. When i try do it that way i end up having super glue leak between the magnets and ruin the whole thing.. :

      It takes practice, I have glued a few magnets together in the past

    Question: Why bother magnetizing the hatches on the top where the Marine can go? I'm building an Impulsor now, and it only comes with two hatches, and you have to glue the doors on open or closed. If I magnetize that part and pop off the hatch with a gunner, it's not like I have a third spare hatch laying around to cover the hole now. Is this just assuming you have multiple Impulsors and can mix and match the hatches if you want?
    Other than that though, this has been a helpful guide!

      I always magnetize my top hatches out of habit. It's mostly so I can swap out the pintle weapon. I have a 3D printer so I can print out more hatches.
      One of the other main reasons I usually do it is for transport. If I have a marine in the hatch a lot of times tanks will be too tall to fit in my storage/transport bins. So I make it so I can remove it to let the model fit.

    I have a pin vise and I do not have a 4mm bit for the weapons on the front. How did you drill the holes for this part of the tutorial?

    • @TwoRavenStudios
      @TwoRavenStudios  3 роки тому

      I used a dremel with a drill bit in it. You could alternatively (very gently) use a hand-held drill.

      @@TwoRavenStudios thanks for the quick response! Do you have any recommendations as to what kind of dremel or hand drill I should pick up? I know that hand drills are a little risky, but I don’t really know what to look for when it comes to dremels or hand drills.

      I wouldn't buy a drill specifically for modeling, if you have one that you use for home improvement/working you could use it. If you want a dedicated hobby tool, I would go with a dremel type tool. Mine is so old and I have no idea about the difference between the ones they sell now. It doesn't have to be dremel brand, I would just go with whatever rotary tool you can find at a decent price. One thing I would look for in it is one that is variable speed because depending what you are doing you want to be able to change the speed of rotation.

    For what you used to mount the magnets, was it plasticard that you said you used? Had a hard time understanding what was the material lol

    • @TwoRavenStudios
      @TwoRavenStudios  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, it is a strip of plasticard or styrene, whatever you would like to call it. You can buy it at any local hobby shop.

      @@TwoRavenStudios Do you have a certain measurement on what to get for this tank or do they mostly come in a certain thickness or dimensions?

    DO NOT BUY IMPULSORS BY THEMSELVES!!!
    The Gladiator comes with ALL of the impulsor bits PLUS the massive turret and gun options
