Such a masterpiece of a video. The pain of the damaged mug! The heartache of the snapped Tap! And the triumph of the finished jig! Kidding aside, this was really cool to see. I've always wanted to know how frames for bikes got assembled by hand.
Hi Matt, Great vid as always. If I could give you one bit of advice it would be, chamfer all the holes prior to tapping. Chamfering after can have a slight tendency to mess up the top of the thread. Otherwise faultless work.
Coffee cups and soda bottles have a short life fab shops, welding shops and machine shops. I've dragged them off benches and table with my TIG cable, knocked them over, knocked them off and in general broken them into pieces in 50 different way. I worked for several years where you could only have styrafoam and soda in cans. Made sense.
Now that is a nice piece of work! I'd love to have a workshop like that but I'd have to sell my house to get all the machinery. Then there's the fact that I'd have to spend a few months teaching myself how to use the Plasma Table! I've subscribed so I can watch more of your fantastic work! Cheers
Looks alot cheaper than buying one my m8 had one made of I beams for building buggy's on but it took up most of the shed and needed a forklift to move it!
Can I change the frame of a small regular bike to make it look like a Superbike?... I love superbikes but I can't afford them so I want to build myself a frame of a Superbike but using every other thing for Bajaj Boxer.
@@Urchfab That was essentially my question too. You do some Very impressive work here Matt. Is this jig for any particular type of frame? I would be interested in one that can do a variety of frames for adventure bikes and cafe racers, as well as road and race bikes. I don't have access to the machining facilities you have. I'm sure I'm not alone in being a potential customer.
That's great if you have all the fancy machines but what about the ones who don't have 100k worth of gadgets to use I did enjoy the video and be cool to be able to make one but I'm looking for how to make one without the high end machines
nice thank you for sharing your video , greetings from the south of Mexico. How nice to have all the equipment to do it, those very sophisticated machines. not even working two whole lives could he buy one of them. Here the minimum salary the day in Mexico is 135 pesos all day, equivalent to 6.75 dollars. outside of my hands, I have only been able to buy a makita drill and I spent 3 years saving together with my wife
Hey Matt, Hope you can check this video. The guy has the same plasma cutter you have and seems to be happy with a dry air improvement he made. I don't know where he is located but maybe you can go check his cutter's performance comparing it to yours. Might just be a help in your fabrication business. ua-cam.com/video/on1wNcZ5cMo/v-deo.html Like the video and I had to laugh when I saw your reaction when you showed that cup again. Ed D

Glad you enjoyed it, Cheers
BTW . That Engine in the Frame at the end is a Honda 750 four . SOHC , probably an early K-series Motor .
It was good to see it all come together. I know I’ve seen it all before, but I liked it. I’ve missed your metalworking capabilities.
A very Skilled Engineer at work!

Noted! Cheers mate.

I've seen mug welding on bad obsession Motorsport
I'd like to see that!

Great job, extremely professional. I do like to leave the axle plate mount bracket adjustable. To allow for different length hard tails.
I miss the angle grinder intro, bring it back!

Nice job Matt that plasma table certainly saves a lot time, shame about the mug, still could always turn up a new one on the lathe👍
Sure does mate.
Actually, this guy is not teaching me how to build my jig. He's just showing off all the damn tools that I don't have.
Hey would make a video on bobber shadow frame?
Cool. Are you building more bikes, then...? Hope so...
I have the starts of a jig at my workshop. One of them things that came up for grabs I got it and haven’t had time to even consider making it work 🤣
can we build it up on top of a workbench?
Outstanding fab skills, just watched you build the bike. Just wondering if you are selling plans for the bike frame jig.? thank you.
Рядом чайник болгаркой почистил норм,накрыть не варик?

An honourable way for a mug to go.
No food or drink in the lab!
The pain when the coffee mug broke 😭
Excellent! But I should buy all this equipment at first and to improve my skills up to the same level! 😁
Great work!
Are you using Inkscape to draw your parts?

Simplest way is to get a very good frame and build a jig round it.
I feel like I've seen this video before 😉
Step 1. But 80k in tools.
Step 2. Find magic experience beans 🫘
Step 3. Return to school.
Sounds easy enough
kreatif & ketrampil yg hebat 👍
