Thank-you for this! What can you say about this piece of music? Stunning, Beautiful, Fantastic! Masterpiece! I can never get tired of this as it's such an excellent track from Steely Dan!❤🎸😎🙄
I have been following Steely Dan and subsequently Donald Fagen ever since 1972 I was blown away by "Do It Again" and bought their first album "Cant Buy a Thrill" (analog recording on vinyl for those of you too young to remember...). I followed them, and subsequently Donald Fagen, not only for their music but was also "reeled in" (both puns intended) by the quality of the backup musicians, production and recording. Fagen and Becker were obsessive perfectionists regarding recording and mixing and would do and re-do takes endlessly. Their perfectionism reached an apex with the album "Aja" which even today is still considered one of the benchmark recordings for testing audio systems. BTW Donald Fagen has maintained these high standards in his solo career until the present day. Thanks to vzq50HD for this fine post!
Great LP; not a bad track on it. And two of the best damn musicians ever--and bless their hearts, they're actually American. Awesome vid, too--gorgeous.
what a great job you did with this ...and what an outstanding song... just got a pair of Grado sr80e headphones and this sounds outstanding on them.... thank you so much.. I subscribed.. your Yes stuff is what hooked me... thanks again .
So sad to hear of the death of Walter Becker. A real shock more than Bowie, Lou Reed, Prince, Strummer for me. Steely Dan in the 70s were a one-band genre and Beckers solo work is also excellent and bravely different to Steely Dan.
One of my favorite Steely Dan songs! Saw it performed live by The Royal Scam, a fabulous Steely Dan Tribute Band. Check them out on Facebook at @steelydantributeNJ or on their webpage RoyalScam.com
i was lucky to see them 2 nights in a row in the 2000's and meet them afterwards. Fagen's cousin and his wife (Marge Helgenberg.) my friend (not Donald or jis cousin) who invited me did work for his cousin. Lucky me.

Steely Dan, one of the most complex, talented and mesmerizing bands of all-time.
I always remember Scott when I listen to this song. Rest in Peace.
