Thanks Keith for the interesting video I do the exact same thing go to the waste pile I find some high grade gold and silver a lot of times. even in the ore shoots in side mine fell between wood shoots Cataloging and photo shooting and I use microscope and photo crushing ore like using RP4 shaker table if the samples come out nice on the table get an essay on the rock. ⛏🤠

That sounds pretty good. This stuff has such fine gold though that an RP-4 is of little use.

You're most welcome. We do this for real and these are some of the things that need to be tested. Wait till next week when we are back underground mining more ore.

There's a strip mine in Nevada that dissolves rock in acid and pulls out micro gold. I saw it on TV .

Sodium cyanide solution or thiosulfate solution. Neither one can operate in an acid environment. They require alkaline conditions. However, they do work and at very large scales.

Yes , i thought that yellow one , Limonite , would be good , and the Red , think maybe Hematite Keith ? . Thanks for showing us . My last trip out i wanted to get some samples from an old open cut mine , it has some showings of the yellows and reds which i wanted to sample , but because of the flat tire i didn't get to it . maybe next time out . I hope your Assays have good results for you , cheers , Ned . 👍🤞✔

      Doing adequately. 🙂
Also, apparently we have enough coarser gold, 'coarse' in this instance means >200 mesh, that the REAL values are actually higher than the assays.

It would be nice if you wrote a book on hard rock prospecting & mining with a lot of detailed pictures. It may help a lot of people, it may make you some money, & I would be interested in buying a copy. Let me know if you do it. Thanks

You sometimes use a handheld microscope. Do you have a particular brand/model you like?

Keith, thanks for posting this video. Can you post the grams per ton or ppm from the assays for each?

I have more fun mining gold. Sitting in front of a monitor is not my style. Swinging tools is. Just personal preference.
