Shatavahanas are andhra brahmins . At that time caste system was not based on birth but karma .later from gupta time it started becoming by birth and it kept changing and present system was british one .they reimposed it on hindus .
Are Satavahana and Sathan in Tamil land are related. Sathan is a kind of Demigod referred in the tamil epic Silapathikaram written during the same period of Satavahanas. Stavahana caves in Kaneri Mumbai have statues of Avalokeshwara/Padmapani. Sathan as depicted in Sithannavasal paintings in Tamilnadu is also somewhat similar to Avalokeshwara/Padmapani.
