Such beautiful horses, I got to smile all through the video but even more when the horses trotted out of the barn to stretch their legs and have a good roll, that tells me they are very happy and contented, God Bless you and your entire family, stay safe with this nasty virus going around.
Great video! Looked like Grandma got some help from the kids, this day. Big smiles for Momma! Loading an old manure spreader by hand was hard work, unloading that same spreader with a broken bed chain was even harder.
Wow!! such great mannered horses. They are so smart, respond to every thing you say and a wee tap of the lines and I would say they have done it so many times they just remember and do it on their own. Big memories of 70 years ago a young kid on the farm. please make more when you have time thanks.
What a great video. It is great to see young kids learn how to grow their own food. Grandma looked like she was in her glory!! They looked like a well oiled machine
Brings back many memories. We had two teams and did many farm chores. We had a four horse hitch and harrowed many acres and spread the cow manure. My father was the best teamster I ever knew.
This is what freedom is all about. Some folks think freedom is owning many guns and shooting whatever and wherever you want. But real freedom lies in ownership of and and working the land. I don't say we should farm with horses only anymore but having citizens out on the land and owning the land is what would make a stronger nation as far as work ethic and character are concerned. Of course money and profitability is important too but character and dignity should come first. Besides, in a FREE and HONEST society small to medium sized farms would thrive. But as it is the government makes sure that farms get larger by subsidizing them disproportionately when in reality large farms need less subsidizing. Look at those children learning the most important ethic in today's world. Honesty and a good work ethic....Kudos to Trinity Dairy for the great example. As of now the US small to medium sized farm is at a great disadvantage because of poor leadership at the government level and unfair market availability and access. The tax structure needs to change so as to incentivize MORE folks to live, own and work the land, not less.
My dad used to do a lot with horses, now he just has the two, and they're getting pretty old. We talked about getting a team, but our one son is highly allergic to horses.
@@trinitydairy I hope the doctors can help you with that affliction, it would be a shame if because of a medical condition you would not be able to do what is so rewarding and sensible for a farm.
Not much anymore. I'm getting old, the horses are getting old and the kids aren't interested. There aren't any shows or pulls in the area anymore so there's no reason to keep them in shape over the summer. They spend most days in the summer in the barn away from the flies and out of the sun.
All of our kids love the horses, and Alan and I had talked about getting a team, but Jordan, our 5 year old, is crazy allergic to horses, so having them around would make him miserable. It's a bummer because he loves them.
The horse video was going to be just one video, but it was crazy long, so I had to split it. No worries, the cows will be back in the spotlight as soon as I get done editing!
It's their channel and he is providing great content. When they start to plant the fields, you going to object again? Alan, great content again. Do your thing. God bless Trinity Farms!!
i wish more kids were raised this way. Awesome memories...
Enjoy your video's. like going back in time. Thanks !!!
Great video, 👍 love all the different equipment for the beautiful draft horses 🐎 all makes the garden come real nice

We always say they're the fastest potato planters in Minnesota lol!
Some very lucky kids to get to experience hands on farm life. 👍👍
For sure!
Trinity Dairy I grew up on a truck farm back in the 60's-70's in Eastern Iowa. We never had any live stock, unfortunately.

Glad you liked the video!
I am enjoying your video's, keep them coming.
This video sure brings back simpler times. Love watching everything you guys do because at the foundation of it all is your family .
I don't think we could've said it better ourselves!
Love to see all of the horse equipment you have
Very interesting, thank you. Loading the spreader with a pitchfork brought back some childhood memories.
Thanks for sharing with all of us, love the history. Almost makes me want a team myself. Keep up the good videos!
Those are some good horses right there! They must like what they do!
He's been using them for 20 years!
Very good equipment !
Especially cultivator and harrows at beginning of this clip!
Am waiting for more films?!
Good luck!!

Very well said!
Great team, Great Video 👍
Thanks your the wounderful view of your surrounding of your land scape..
The horses act like a typical 20 year old after work on friday!! A quick dirt bath and some R&R!! Next up cultivaters and hillers.
Another great video but the end was great for me like the reward for all the work go out and play you two deserve it
Definitely! Stub always has to have a good roll!
Class video at least this this way of life won't be forgotten thanks to you guys making these videos 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Dang...I was hoping for a diary video. Oh well, maybe next week. His work horses are definitely better trained than the ones I have been around.
Great video.
Definitely little bit different than what I'm using to spread and load my pen pack pile lol
Love it.
Similar to the equipment used on some scenes on little house that would be a good work out.
How can anybody give this a thumbs down?
Can't please everyone I guess. Thank you for watching!

Nice job Leonard, what else do you use the horses for?

Almost looks like the Wright County Fair grounds in that last photo.
Did anyone ever think uncle Leonard would be a UA-cam star?? Bahahahahaha
Well Stub and Stoney are the stars!
Ground looks good when are you going to plant?
Root crops went in already. Probably wait until after Mother's day before any sweet corn goes in.
Outstanding video l sure like the flat land does your father in law have any equipment tell all the family hi god bless
He doesn't have much else he uses the horses on, he has a couple tractors, a combine, and some haying equipment for the tractors.
Hi how many horses do you have is it just the two.
Yeah my Dad has just the 2 right now.
I have a younger matched pair for uncle if he wants to start over!
I've been trying to convince him to get a pregnant mare. The kid's have never seen a foal, but that's a lot of work too.
@@trinitydairythese two arelready to get pregnant any time lol. 4 and 5 yr olds. And then you and Allen should get sadie for a cart mare
@@highlifeme yeah I don't think so.
@@trinitydairy bahahahahahah
Is that horse drawn John Deere speader.
Yeah, it's a John Deere model E
I love you guys, but please get back to dairy content.
