Texas flooding team coverage: High water rescues in Walker County north of Houston

Crews rescued several people near Harmon Creek in Riverside. Also in Walker County, 2 cars fell into a 25-foot drop on FM 2989 where the road was washed out by rain

The elevation of the town of Riverside actually is way above the river but many of the housing communities around it are not.

@@davidpape9726 yep the town is high ground but everyone wants to live close to water and Lake Livingston I guess. It's not uncommon for areas there to get flooded.

It flooded a bit, water in my house but this is way worse. Still had to go to school but it had a 2 hr delay
