Agree that it looks better overall, but swoosh on the toebox sucks. Also ,REFLECTIVE STRIPS RULE if you're trying not to die. The NB Rebel v3 implements reflectivity really well.
There's actually 3mm more cushioning throughout the entire midsole compared to the 2, the mid-foot section of the outsole/midsole is a lot and noticeably wider, and then as for that heel counter, part of it goes underneath give a little more support from within. Great improvement and update to an already solid line
I ran many miles with several 1st and 2nd generation Invincible's always was a great believer in this shoe. I just picked up the Invincible 3 since they did all the improvements I always wanted. The fit is a lot nicer now and definitely more stable and you can tell the added thickness. Only two runs in them so far but I'm impressed. They also look like they are made for the sneaker heads and not running lol
I bought the invincible 2s a couple of weeks ago, and it's probably my least favourite shoe I have ever ran in. Heavy, and slow. Honestly feel like clogs to me. Am considering relegating them to casual wear.
I have the V3s sitting in a box ready to have a test. Loved my V1s, took them to 500 miles until I'd worn the sole off. I ruined by V2s almost straight out of the box by catching the rear on some metal steps and tearing the ZoomX foam, I superglued it back but I'm not sure they've ever felt right... Little wary that you (and others) have commented on potential heel slip with the V3. Have to say, not a fan of the runners knot in general so we'll have to see how things goes. Thanks for the speedy review!!
Fun fact them pull tabs weren’t designed for pulling on your shoes it was for hanging them up to drain water in the trail shoes and that’s what I use my tabs for 😊

Interesting review Ed. I am a little bit skeptical about the V 3 but you gave it a good score. Maybe I'll give it a chance later on. But not worth the money. Luckily I have a handful V1 and 2 an will buy some more now. The most comfortably running shoes so far. Especially for heavy built runner's.
Wore a pair of Nike Peg Turbo 2’s to spectate a basketball game this weekend. Lots of standing & walking. With 260mi on them, they still felt fantastic. Dual density midsole is the cat’s meow!
Very happy with the V2 and one of my several "indispensable" running shoes so I ordered the V3 last week and it should land soon. I definitely don't need another max-cushioned shoes but the Invincible Run is in its own category, so to speak. This is one of very few shoes of 2023 I was looking forward to. The other is the Prime X Strung 2, of course, and perhaps the Boston 12. Looking forward to running in the V3!
Being only medium-happy with my V1, I will probably get the V3. Looks like they have fixed the stuff that didn't work so well for me (stability). Or the Vomero 16 on deep discount? White Strips are great! What a team.
I like the v2, but CONTROVERSIAL TAKE.. I ran a half marathon today in EPIC REACT 2’s! My legs felt great, and got enough out of them!! Was shocked and my HR was lower relative to invincible v2.. I think it’s due to the weight! Would you do a vid on unexpected loves. Shoes that are considered ‘bad’ but work for you? I love the epic react shoes
I’m with you on the epic react 2s. I’ve got one more unboxed pair to put into my rotation when my 4th pair finally give up the ghost. Not sure I’d race in them, but great for tempo training.

Thank you, love your reviews! Its my daily routine!
@@EDDBUD Thank you for replying! Your reviews are the best! But im confused if this is a daily, or recovery? to me... this is a huge difference. Thank you!
Good review Ed - pretty much what I expected. I've still got two pairs of V2s to get through - one with about 350 miles and the other with about 50 miles. These will get me through to the April marathon and hopefully the V3s may be available with a bit of a discount after that. Definitely want these but more than happy to wait for the drop and maybe some different colours (loud as possible as the four released are dull as dishwater). Not too concerned about reports on heel slippage as, with my skinny ankles & heels, I use a runner's knot on everything and it always works fine.
Just coming up to 500 miles in my Version 1's and will retire these at that point. I have a spare pair (unused) but I have been tempted with the V3 as the V1 has been the best running shoe I have ever owned in 50 years of running. Its helped me run without injury for the longest time I can remember, so I am definitely a fan of this shoe. My only worry is the heal padding is much less on the V3 compared to the V1, so I am concerned this might make it less comfortable for me around the heal area.
@@EDDBUD Thanks Edd, the only problem I have found with the V1 shoe is the heals rub on the side of the upper near the top lace holes and have rubbed through the material. The narrower profile of the rear of the V3 shoe might stop this from happening. Apart from this I think these shoes are faultless for general training and preventing injury.
Not sure if it's just me but im having fit issues with the lacing on my bridge. Initially i thought it was due to the short laces making me tie them tighter but even after changing to a different set of laces, discomfort is still there. Im down to about 10km, and it's starting to feel a little bit better but still there.
Grabbed a pair of these, enjoyed them so far! Hoping for a bit more longevity from the thicker outsole than I got from my V1s which I found wore through to the foam in only about 400 miles.
Purchase these the invisible 2 wasn't able or on sale so I just upgraded, I work valet lot management and walking hundreds of steps a day I believe these will help cushion my feet. I'll also be trying the New balance fresh foam MORV4
I love V2 except they give me blisters on outside of big toes!!! Never had this in any shoe before. I cut off the reflective strip but didn’t help. Do you feel V3 may be better as I know you had similar issues?
V1 was a great shoe for me. Probably one of the best I have ever run in. V2 was a big disappointment. So I think I'll give the V3 a miss and go back to Hoka.
@EDDBUD Felt that there was far too much room in the toebox Edd. Even with a size up and down from my chosen size. Gave me hotspots on the ball of each foot. Had to put a second insole in to cure that problem. Also felt that there was just no energy return at all from the midsole. Felt that my energy was getting lost in the pavement or road with every Stride. The kind of feeling that you get from a shoe when you know it has put on its last few miles of life for you. Who knows, maybe I got a dodgy pair off the production line. I kept saying to myself during most runs up to around 100 mile that I was going to take them back, but I never did get around to it. Also, I picked up some nice plantar fasciatas on my left foot last Aug( who knows if that is down to the shoe 👍), and it's still there.
Thanks for another sweet review . Unpopular opinion : I feel the v3 is much firmer and the zoomx dose not smell like zoomx so I feel it has some kind of coating.. also I feel it guide my footstrike too much …. Not too impressed so far to be honest .
V1 was like an oven..a brick oven is great for pizza, not so much for a running shoe..unfortunately for me almost all the daily trainers and all the max stack shoes are no good until the temperature gets around -15c..this week I could use them for 5-10k easy runs without cooking me feet..new shoes coming out look awesome for breathability and bounce 😎 👌 😀
I'm torn, my v1 are starting to fall apart and I'd love to replace them but the V3 are selling for $260 AUD! I can get endorphin speed 3s for $100 cheaper
Funny you ask this, while the speed 3 and Inv3 are different shoes, I just got back from my first run in the Inv3 and I actually would have found my Speed 3s a more bouncier comfier even though it was a recovery run, and also a lot lighter so am considering returning the inv3 and just use my speed3s. I have the Inv1s which I love but the inv3s just aren't as squishy and bouncy I found, just firmer and heavier :(
Like them but they made a right mess of the heel lockdown .As you say needs a firm runners knot to just about stop slip and theres not really enough lace.
No reviews mentioning it, but the v3 is longer. I wore a size 10 in v.1 but in v3 a 10 was too long. A 9.5 fit ok in the length, but the arch was further back towards my heel instead of the center. Also had major heel slippage even while walking, had to use the runners knot but the laces were so short I could barely tie them. Love the look but really bummed on the sizing. Also didn't seem to have the same level of bounce.
@@EDDBUD hey. Thank you so much for replying me. An update; I’ve put in a bit more distance on the shoes. And although the blisters have stopped. Left lateral arch on the left feet hurts when I use it for runs. Any advice for this?
Hi Edd. I'd love to get a pair of these. Especially as the V1 really didn't work for me. Sadly, I lost my job. So no new shoes for me for a long time to come.
An upper similar to the OG Infinity you say... now I am interested! Grandad burnt my pitza earlier so Rodney's headed down to the Golden Lotus. Got a bit carried away on the long run today and hit my quickest ever 21.1km just under 92mins in the Velocity v2's, race day in 7 weeks. Lets go! 🚀
You wear two gps watches while reviewing ... 😀.. is that a "metal" Garmin on your left? The Inv 3 I'll buy as soon as I see a discount on the Nike site.
Original Infinity Run 1 upper was a winner for me. I still use that shoe for walking. Still very comfortable! I almost never had any heel slip in Infinity Run 1. Here at least you have a bit sturdier heel cup and addition lace holes for lace loop if necessary. Original Infinity Run like upper with Invincible Run midsole and way better outsole than Infinity Run is a winner combination for me. It sounds like the design became more streamlined this time with some more stability and directionality to the bounce. I will probably pick this one at some discount deal during the year.
Plan to wait for long time reviews of v3, and to be on sale, try it in a local store before buy, would like some new colorways, not a priority for me, I'm using V2 for every day use walking, they are to bulky for me v2 and v3, love soft zoomx but more like Streakfly not so bulky and with lower drop. To bad Nike ruined Turbo3NN's with zoomx scraps and sewn thoung, that would be great shoe otherwise...
It might be fine with the runners knot, but then you cut off the circulation to your entire foot. That's a pretty big sacrifice. I didn't feel like having blood circulate through my feet
@EDDBUD it was the comment about there being just about enough lace that got me too. I had to use the knot of my peg 37s ... but there really isn't enough lace with my slightly wider foot.
White Stripes 😍 Correct pronunciation would be more like: Duh style. The Invincibles... Still not convinced. The look has improved a 100% Now let's get at least 50 grams off that weight.
Great Review Ed👍 Quick question though, is it advisable for tropical countries? Since we only have 2 seasons… hot and hotter😁 How’s the breathability? Thanks in advance
Thanks Ed👍 ordered already with a 10% discount online but that colorway will be arriving on Feb. 15-20😢 it seems we don’t have that colorway yet in the Philippines… c’mon Nike, your missing a huge market here😂 keep safe and waiting for your next shoe review
Hey Edd, could you please mention stack heights in the sample size? I think most of your viewers won' t find it too useful when it refers to your size only.
Not the insole. There’s a fabric strobel under the insole. There’s a number of changes here. Many people love this shoe. One of the most popular amongst my viewers.
Im sorry, midsole 😉. If you have a small lineup you can find a twiner to full that spot. And spend money on the good stuff. A small line up is about 600 to 800 eath credits. If you run 150 to 225 per month its more.
I'm not a fan of the invincible. The upper does not work for me at all, and while there's plenty of cushion it doesn't translate into great comfort for me either
That's a great simply put point. Which kind of shoe comfort male sense ? Eg i use the Deviate nitro 2 elite which has comfort with bouncy feel both on the forefoot and the heel
I got the same colorway black ordered from app, but I returned it coz materials feels cheap. I like the knit of ultraboost better than this, this feels shiny plasticky thin upper. I just did not get the premium feel on this one in person. My 2015 UB feels more premium. Makes squeaky noises as you walk as well. A shame since I got this because of high praise by youtube reviewers.
@@EDDBUD yeah maybe it is good, but didn’t tried coz I wanted to return asap and it has already been shipped back to nike lol. Completely underwhelmed when it arrived coz it really feels cheap and got scared of prev feedback for v1 and v2 in terms of durability. It was my first zoomx transitioning from boost, maybe I’ll wait and see and just re-buy from store not from the app or wait for v4.
I didn't care much for the 2. The forefoot felt flat after roughly 300 miles. It didn't feel stable at all and was too heavy. Addi in all of the sweat they collect in warm temps. Nike shoes just aren't as durable as other brands like Saucony.

I really liked the 2 and found this to be a subtle improvement in all areas.
Sad you are having issues Steven. Not experienced anything like that here. One last option. Try doing over and under lacing perhaps than under over?
@@EDDBUD i tried the over - under lacing method today and was surprised that it actually worked. Thank you.
Grabbed a pair of these, enjoyed them so far! Hoping for a bit more longevity from the thicker outsole than I got from my V1s which I found wore through to the foam in only about 400 miles.
400 isn’t too bad really for this type of foam
Purchase these the invisible 2 wasn't able or on sale so I just upgraded, I work valet lot management and walking hundreds of steps a day I believe these will help cushion my feet. I'll also be trying the New balance fresh foam MORV4
You can buy two version two-for-the-price-of-one version 1. Do the math
Yes v2 better for that purpose and cheaper
I love V2 except they give me blisters on outside of big toes!!! Never had this in any shoe before. I cut off the reflective strip but didn’t help. Do you feel V3 may be better as I know you had similar issues?
It’s feels like the v1 and 2 but without al the bells and whistles they added. Just a simple version
Re ZoomX durability, what if Nike coated the midsole in graphene? 🤔
Blimey. A bit like a cake with those hundreds and thousands?
I picked up v2 for £57 recently from a Nike outlet store. Crazy price.
Now that’s a good deal!
V1 was a great shoe for me. Probably one of the best I have ever run in. V2 was a big disappointment. So I think I'll give the V3 a miss and go back to Hoka.
not " was", IS! V1🔥👌
What was the difference between the v1 and 2 for you?
V1 and v2 pretty identical to me.
@@ThePaulaon1 will agree definitely was more room in forefoot.
Tried them on in the store and they were so much tighter than v2. It’s so strange that they don’t offer a wide in what is their daily cruiser
Thanks for another sweet review . Unpopular opinion : I feel the v3 is much firmer and the zoomx dose not smell like zoomx so I feel it has some kind of coating.. also I feel it guide my footstrike too much …. Not too impressed so far to be honest .
The zoomx is the same. The original and v2 were coated also
@@EDDBUD na …. Feels and smells different. All zoomx shoes smell very special this one doesn’t.
Also found it firmer, you're not alone
V1 was like an oven..a brick oven is great for pizza, not so much for a running shoe..unfortunately for me almost all the daily trainers and all the max stack shoes are no good until the temperature gets around -15c..this week I could use them for 5-10k easy runs without cooking me feet..new shoes coming out look awesome for breathability and bounce 😎 👌 😀
They have the balance here.
How do they fit?
True to size for me. Good room in the toebox no heel slip with a runners knot
I'm torn, my v1 are starting to fall apart and I'd love to replace them but the V3 are selling for $260 AUD! I can get endorphin speed 3s for $100 cheaper
Very different shoe to the speed 3
What would be the closest or most comparable in your opinion?
Funny you ask this, while the speed 3 and Inv3 are different shoes, I just got back from my first run in the Inv3 and I actually would have found my Speed 3s a more bouncier comfier even though it was a recovery run, and also a lot lighter so am considering returning the inv3 and just use my speed3s. I have the Inv1s which I love but the inv3s just aren't as squishy and bouncy I found, just firmer and heavier :(
Like them but they made a right mess of the heel lockdown .As you say needs a firm runners knot to just about stop slip and theres not really enough lace.
It was fine with the runners knot.
Measured it and it’s the same. It’s the upper that’s thinner appearing to be longer
I’m surprised you didn’t get the aqua blue colorway. 😮
Nah I wanted a wearable casual also
The invincible run v3 or new balance sc trainer?
The invincible has more for my needs. The sc trainer may be lighter but feels less comfortable and not as cushioned.

Hi. I just got a pair. And I’m getting blistered on my inside arches. Does anyone also experienced the same?
Not on the arch. Outside of big toes in the v1.
@@EDDBUD hey. Thank you so much for replying me. An update; I’ve put in a bit more distance on the shoes. And although the blisters have stopped. Left lateral arch on the left feet hurts when I use it for runs. Any advice for this?
Been waiting on this review!
I'm curious if you would recommend the invincible 3 over the zoomfly 5.
Yes, definitely
come round to Edd’s Diner for mega-stack onions and squash served up with stijl!
Hi Edd. I'd love to get a pair of these. Especially as the V1 really didn't work for me. Sadly, I lost my job. So no new shoes for me for a long time to come.
Hope you secure something new soon 👍🏼👊
@@EDDBUD thanks Edd. Been about 9 months now 😪
An upper similar to the OG Infinity you say... now I am interested! Grandad burnt my pitza earlier so Rodney's headed down to the Golden Lotus.
Got a bit carried away on the long run today and hit my quickest ever 21.1km just under 92mins in the Velocity v2's, race day in 7 weeks. Lets go! 🚀
Be sure to have an emperor burger before the race. No cheese burgers.
@@EDDBUD An emperor burger and a couple of oranges 😄
Ed looking 19 years old😂keep d good work buddy
Time machine stuff
You wear two gps watches while reviewing ... 😀.. is that a "metal" Garmin on your left?
The Inv 3 I'll buy as soon as I see a discount on the Nike site.
One in km one in miles
Other than the heel slippage I like it
Original Infinity Run 1 upper was a winner for me.
Yes the next nature didn’t work in the peg turbo. Not soft enough
I’ve loved the V1 and V2, but not liking the heel slip issues. Just seen Ben Parkes has exactly the same issue.
It’s fine with a runners knot.
White Stripes 😍
Correct pronunciation would be more like: Duh style.
The Invincibles... Still not convinced. The look has improved a 100% Now let's get at least 50 grams off that weight.
Thanks for letting me know Patrick. Yes they can trim off some grams
Great Review Ed👍 Quick question though, is it advisable for tropical countries? Since we only have 2 seasons… hot and hotter😁 How’s the breathability? Thanks in advance
Seems thinner upper here and less external padding. Should be fine
I quote my size as thats the one i can measure. Nike havent listed an official height.
Who's this whisker free young bloke replacing edd?
Less beard more speed. 🤣👍🏼
@@EDDBUD more aero🏃♂️
Nice!
Hi edd 👊 , your the first one I've seen that hasn't said anything about heel slip , i have invincible 1 don't like at all so no me
Using a runners knot it’s not an issue
I had the first version and didnt do much for me. The foam in the insole changes. Buju! 😢
Please do a comparison with nimbus 25 😀
Coming up
I got the same colorway black ordered from app, but I returned it coz materials feels cheap. I like the knit of ultraboost better than this, this feels shiny plasticky thin upper. I just did not get the premium feel on this one in person. My 2015 UB feels more premium. Makes squeaky noises as you walk as well. A shame since I got this because of high praise by youtube reviewers.
It’s a great shoe. Did you run in it?!
That off white midsole does look tasty, because it reminds me of camembert cheese!
Perfect with a nice red 🍷
Thanks for the review, i skipp this model, no reason to buy this prototipe looking shoe…
What happened to Edd???
Edd trimmed his beard with the wrong comb on it. 🤦🏻♂️🤣
@@EDDBUD 😮🤪😂😂😂
You look somewhat err... different without the beard. Very clean looking
Went to trim it and used the wrong blade! 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Great!
Thanks for tuning in 👍🏼👊
Nobody seems to mention that the last is straighter, especially in the midportion.
Must be beneficial to me as this seems to fit that but closer.
I didn't care much for the 2. The forefoot felt flat after roughly 300 miles. It didn't feel stable at all and was too heavy. Addi in all of the sweat they collect in warm temps. Nike shoes just aren't as durable as other brands like Saucony.
