- A MASSIVE FOOD CHALLENGE! Today we try the biggest sandwich challenge in the area, and specifically a corned beef eating challenge / best Rueben sandwich challenge! For todays eating challenge we have 30 minutes to eat a giant bbq sandwich eating challenge in order to get the $70 meal for free. Fail, and pay for the massive sandwich consisting of a variety of smoked meats like a smoked corned beef, pulled pork, smoked chicken, smoked chicken wings and a serving of coleslaw, all served on a locally made rye bread with a Russian dressing and sauerkraut!
Today we are on mount Lemmon which is located next to Tucson Arizona at Saw Mill Run Restaurant! This Mt Lemmon Restaurant offers burgers, bbq and smoked meats, as well as sandwiches, chicken wings baked goods and many other food items! The staff were friendly and the food was good! Am I the only one that when Joel has a challenge you cut the time limit in half and see if he beats it. Half the time he does and it makes the videos more unpredictable.
Im usually tempted to skip ahead but I watch all the way through so I can make sure he gets paid for the view

🤣 I never thought of it that way as a formula, but come to think about it, I realized that while watching him there was always the expectation of him finishing the challenge long before the time limit. On the other hand, that makes sense because you’re either attacking it before the brain gets the “I’m full” signal, or you’re not finishing it…

Ok it’s official. The only way Joel is going to realistically be defeated is if they serve him either food he can’t stand or is allergic to , or they put new time limits. He’s not human. Dude it’s awesome.
The real challenge is if he can complete one without using a drink to force the food down. No drink until completed.

Joel, what is with the weird faces and pointing at the start? Why always we "the veggies as an example for the kiddies" thing. That part is a waste of video; and saying "Compliments to the Chef" every time that you burp, not humorous anymore. Otherwise, you put on the best eating video production around. It would just be better if you avoided the three above useless parts. If you competed more than twice yearly, you would probably destroy the other competitors.

It's never not fascinating to watch you eat! You didn't even scarf that down, you ate at what seemed a reasonable pace (for you, at least!) and you STILL managed to get that insane amount of delicious looking food down in under 30 mins. Mind-blowing stuff, really. Bravo, Joel!
Beef is close, but pork is the king of meats. From salami to prosciutto, sausages, bacon, ribs, roast with crackle, trotters, hams, bacons, pork belly and more, the pig is just so many more meals.
I respect it. But I have to give the nod to beef. Just because of steak, burgers, brisket, and beef ribs. Etc.

Why do you always tell the audience not to try the food challenges (it’s too much food etc) which the restaurants do in order to make money as hardly any people finish them and end up having to pay for it…you do it on every video near enough 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Man i love it when you do a food challenge that you end up loving the food!! My favorite is when you bite into something and that 80s song plays or the angels sing!! Love it man!! Just like being in Phoenix AZ and it's 100° and sunny and 45 minutes later on I17 north in Flagstaff AZ it's 25° and 3' of snow on the ground and blizzard conditions outside.

I was wetting myself when U smelled the sandwich🤣🤣🤣 I like to sniff & whiff food too but when I do it, it freaks people out. Especially the staff, their like "what's wrong?" Anyways Sweet Chilli Apple Slaw is my personal fav atm & that cornbeef looks amazing I would eat it. It's nothing like the canned fatty dog food 💩we get in the UK which I wouldn't eat if they paid me to or feed to a dog. 🤮 Solid double burps! 💪The views of those mountains R outstanding. There's a saying (UK weather) " U get 4 seasons in 20 mins" so if you want the weather to change wait 5 mins. Favorite meat so far is either bear or caribou. It may have just been how it was cooked. A skilled cook could make an old boot taste good... Nothing beats a really good beef steak, though.
