It’s smooth but forceless. It’s kind of like The Beast. You kind of don’t like it but you also love it, and I personally am not a huge fan but it’s hard to dislike it when...you know, the worst GCI ever built is in the same park.
On their website they claim it is the first dueling roller coaster in the USA built in 2000. Unfortunately for Hershey Park, they forgot about Kenneywood in Pittsburgh, PA with the original dueling coaster called Racer built in 1927. Racer has one continuous track, so each coaster switches sides during its run unlike this one where it is two duel tracks and each coaster stays on its own route. So although this is not the first dueling coaster, it is the first with separate tracks.
@@MEPieroni Gemini is a racing roller coaster with a wooden structure and steel track, located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Built in 1978 by Arrow Dynamics and designed by Ron Toomer, it is one of the oldest roller coasters in the park. While one of the oldest in the park, it is not as old as either of these roller coasters - not Racer at Kennywood and not Lightning Racer at Hershey Park.
It is the start of the day, the park isn't open. The trains also aren't loaded with people, so less weight. Thunder looked empty, and judging from the shadows, there is only the cameraman on lightning. Normally they have a faster clip.
most underrated coaster of all time i swear
This coaster is so underrated. It needs more attention.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that it's called "Lightning Racer" but one side is called Lightning?

Ummm I hope it’s the beginning of the day when they took this footage cause this ride is crawling
Well, it's always crawling so it wouldn't matter what time of day they took it at.

thunder wants what lightning has don't @ me
I want to know who's idiotbidea it was to make a racing coaster where you can't see the other train?
